Winter 2020 Sat UIC Student Recreation Facility 7 on 7 Open Gender Indoor Soccer – Week 1

Ekstra FC (1-0) vs. Team Steven (0-1) – Saturday, January 11, 2020

In this match, Ekstra FC beat Team Steven 10-2. Stuart  was unstoppable and contributed 4 goals to help gain the club the win. Even though they lost, Team Steven has plenty of time to improve on the offensive end. Tommy  was the star player for Team Steven this week. They scored all two goals for them. As for Team Steven next up is a pairing against Vitamin O (0-1-0) as they look to come back from this one.

White Owls (1-0) vs. Vitamin O (0-1) – Saturday, January 11, 2020

In this match the teams competed in an absolute shoot-out, totaling 15 goals.  Despite Vitamin O’s impressive 5 goals, White Owls got the win with the other 10 goals. It’s only week one, and Vitamin O has plenty of games to go back to the drawing board on the offensive side of the ball. The losing team still had notable players including Paul Del Aguila, who netted two goals for Vitamin O.  For Vitamin O next on the schedule is Team Steven (0-1-0) as they try to come back from this one. Ben Lefevre scored two goals to help gain the team the W.  Exiting week 1, White Owls will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. This week White Owls will line-up against Zambezi FC (1-0-0).

Zambezi FC (1-0) vs. La Rosa de Guadalupe (0-1) – Saturday, January 11, 2020

In this match the teams lit up the scoreboard, combining for 12 goals.  Despite La Rosa de Guadalupe’s impressive 4 goals, Zambezi FC got the win with the other 8 goals. Tapiwa  kicked two goals to help earn the squad the win.  This week Zambezi FC will take on White Owls (1-0-0), as they look to keep up the momentum.  The season is still young, and La Rosa de Guadalupe has plenty of weeks to improve on offense. The losing team still had notable players including Joseph Mclaughlin, who had one goal for La Rosa de Guadalupe.  As for La Rosa de Guadalupe they will have a contest with  as they look to get to the win column.
