Winter 2019 Thursday Walter Payton Men’s Competitive Basketball – Week 3

Time to Ball (1-2) vs. Windy City Bulls (2-1) – Thursday February 7, 2019

With a score of 77-67, Time to Ball got a nice victory, their first of the season against Windy City Bulls.  This team really showed up on the defensive end in this game, beating their season points against average of 78.3 points per game. Raymond Lichter had a good game to help earn the team the W with 19 points, and Zoran Planinic scored 16 points. Windy City Bulls really struggled defensively in this game, allowing more points than their average of 66.7 points against per game for the season. Brandon Taylor had 23 points for Windy City Bulls. Next up for Time to Ball is a date against One Time (3-0-0). Next up for Windy City Bulls is a battle against Abusement Park (3-0-0), as they look to get back on track.

 

Extra Moist (1-2) vs. Past Our Prime (0-3) – Thursday February 7, 2019

Extra Moist smashed Past Our Prime with a final score of 70-45. Extra Moist got a blowout W by the score of 70-45, their first of the season against Past Our Prime. These guys brought it, besting their points per game average of 61.7. Mike Henry and Andrew Bargmann had a good showing to help gain the team the win with 15 points. Past Our Prime really were unable to get rolling on offense in this one, scoring less than their average of 51.0 PPG this season. Mike Goldstein scored 22 points for Past Our Prime. Wet Dream Team (0-3-0) are next up on the docket for Extra Moist, as they look to keep it going.   Past Our Prime looks to put a 1 in the win column on Thursday versus Trees and Threes (1-2-0).

 

LFG (2-1) vs. Trees and Threes (1-2) – Thursday February 7, 2019

LFG and Trees and Threes played in a nail-biter. LFG got a tight win by the score of 73-71 against Trees and Threes. Sterling Williams had a gigantic game to help earn the group the win with 27 points. Even though they lost, Trees and Threes really brought their best defensively in this one, giving up fewer than their average of 81.7 PAPG this season. The leading scorers for Trees and Threes was Brandon Smith who had 20 points and Aaron Wellington with 19 points. Premature Shooters (2-1-0) are next up on the schedule for LFG, as they look to keep it going. Past Our Prime (0-3-0) is next up on the schedule for Trees and Threes, as they look to get back on track.

 

Abusement Park (3-0) vs. Premature Shooters (2-1) – Thursday February 7, 2019

Abusement Park got a big win by the score of 71-55, to stay unbeaten against Premature Shooters.  Sam Collins had an amazing week to guide the crew’s attack with 26 points. Premature Shooters really struggled to get it going in this game, scoring fewer than their average of 63.7 PPG for the season. The leading scorer for Premature Shooters was Andrew Castagnetti who scored 17 points but was closely followed by John Hayes who scored 14 points. Next Thursday, Abusement Park seeks to stay perfect with a contest against Windy City Bulls (2-1-0). LFG (2-1-0) is next up on the docket for Premature Shooters, as they attempt to bounce back.

 

One Time (3-0) vs. Wet Dream Team (0-3) – Thursday February 7, 2019

By the score of 70-59, One Time got a nice win, to maintain a zero in the loss column against Wet Dream Team. They buckled down in this battle, emerging victorious, despite scoring less than their avg. points per game of 79.7. Tony Moeaki had a solid week to help gain the crew the W with 24 points.  The leading scorer for Wet Dream Team was Christopher Rickert who netted 18 points. One Time will attempt to stay unbeaten next Thursday with a date against Time to Ball (1-2-0). Wet Dream Team looks to put a 1 in the win column next Thursday with a match-up versus Extra Moist (1-2-0).
