Winter 2019 Monday CIBC Coed Soccer – Week 2

MVW FC (1-1) vs. Team Awesome (0-2) – Monday, February 11, 2019

MVW FC absolutely dominated this game in shut out fashion against Team Awesome with a final score of 5-0. Team Awesome didn’t have their best game on D in this game, giving up more goals than their opening game. MVW FC really brought it in this game, beating their first game point total. Their goalie Elliot Schulz made sure Team Awesome would not score. To help earn the club the W, Daniel Landon, Robert Hicks, Rebecca W, and Joe Razza all contributed to the final score with 2, 1, 1, and 1 goals respectively.  As for Team Awesome they’ll move on to a game with Avocado Discoballs (2-0-0) as they strive to come back from this one. MVW FC will attempt to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 3. Game of Throw-In’s (Harry) (2-0-0) are next on the docket for MVW FC.

 

The Gunners (2-0) vs. Spoons Deux (1-1) – Monday, February 11, 2019

The Gunners and Spoons Deux were very evenly matched in this contest up to the last minute with a final score of 3-2. The Gunners are heating up, winning both of their games so far this season. Daniel Landon kicked two goals and Kelly B kicked one goal to help earn the team the victory. For The Gunners, every week is a critical opportunity to heat up at the outset of the season. GT Soccer (0-2-0) are next on the schedule for The Gunners. Spoons Deux really struggled to get it going in this game, scoring fewer than their total from their first contest. Avocado Discoballs controlled this game in shut out fashion against Game of Throw-Ins (Young) with a final score of 3-0. Game of Throw-In’s (Harry) beat GT Soccer 7-3 in this game. Game of Throw-In’s (Harry) is heating up, winning both of their games so far this season. Ben T earned a hat trick with five goals to help get the squad the W. Also providing some scoring in this win were Sarah and Brandon with one goal each. For Game of Throw-In’s (Harry), every week is a big game to build momentum from the jump. This week Game of Throw-In’s (Harry) will battle MVW FC (1-1-0).  Despite the loss, GT Soccer really played their A game in this game, exceeding their total from their first match-up.
