Patomic Bomb (1-0) v. No Punt Intended (0-1) – Wednesday, May 26, 2021

Patomic Bomb opened their Spring 2021 season in dominating fashion, cruising past No Punt Intended by a final score of 35-12 in Week 2 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football League. Patomic Bomb came into its matchup with No Punt Intended as slight favorites, so it was important that their team came away with a big win. Patomic Bomb did just that. A dominant first half, as well as other key contributions, helped Patomic Bomb get to 1-0 on the season. QB Clayton Sanger tossed five TDs, connecting with Megan Majors for two of them. Exiting week 2, Patomic Bomb will look ahead to keep their early season momentum rolling. Next up is a throwdown against Harrison Street Hunnies (0-1-0) coming up in Week 3 as they look to record back-to-back victories. Despite losing their season opener, No Punt Intended has tons of games remaining on their schedule to go back to the drawing board on the offensive side of the ball. As for No Punt Intended next on the docket is Chi Town Blitz (0-0-0) as they look to record their first victory of the season.

 

Smokin Jays (2-0) v. Red Flags (1-1) – Wednesday, May 26, 2021

Smokin Jays picks up its second win of the season in lopsided fashion over Red Flags, 47-8 the final in Week 2 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football League. Smokin Jays are the highest-scoring team in the league early on this season. QB Brett Edlbeck was unstoppable for Smokin Jays in this contest, passing for five touchdowns while also running in two with their legs. Samuel Grzywacz was the lucky recipient of three of those TD strikes to help their squad secure this Week 2 victory. For Smokin Jays, every contest is a crucial chance to gain ground in the League Standings at the beginning of the year. INDY Team #3 (0-1-0) are next on the calendar for Smokin Jays coming up in Week 3 as they look to take it three wins in a row. Even with this loss, Red Flags are one of the higher scoring teams in the league this season, averaging 17.00 ppg. In the loss for Red Flags, QB Jibraan Mohajir hit Ryan Caulfield for their only score in this game. As for Red Flags they will have a match-up against Yo, Pass me a Bear! (1-1-0) coming up in Week 3 as they strive to get back into the winner’s circle.

Yo, Pass me a Bear! blew past Harrison Street Hunnies in Week 2 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football League. The final score of 36-6 reflects the hard work Yo, Pass me a Bear! put into every minute of the game. Yo, Pass me a Bear! may have turned things around offensively after only putting up 8 total points in Week 1. QB Daniel threw four TDs, finding Robert Grenz for one of them and ran for one with their legs. For Yo, Pass me a Bear!, next up is a showdown with Red Flags (1-1-0) coming up in Week 3, as they look to record back-to-back victories. It is only their first game of the season, but Harrison Street Hunnies are the lowest-scoring team in the league so far.
