Saturday’s are for the Boys (1-1) v. Bears Free Agent Signing’s (0-2) – Saturday, April 17, 2021

By the score of 32-13, Saturday’s are for the Boys got a blowout victory over Bears Free Agent Signing’s in Week 2 of the Saturday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT Flag Football League.  QB Geoff Butler was unstoppable for Saturday’s are for the Boys in this contest as he accounted for all five of his teams scores. Butler leads the league with 7 total TDs through the first two weeks of the season. Saturday’s are for the Boys will attempt to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season coming up in Week 3 with a matchup against Cobras (1-0). The season is still young but Bears Free Agent Signing’s are the lowest-scoring team in the league so far through the first two weeks. Despite the loss, Bears Free Agent Signing’s gave everything they had in this game, topping their total from their opening day matchup. During the loss for Bears Free Agent Signing’s, QB Max Zinski hit Michael Auger for one touchdown and scampered in for one more. Cobras (1-0) are next on the calendar for Bears Free Agent Signing’s coming up in Week 3 as they look to record their first victory of the season.

 

Cobras (1-0) v. Eric’s Martians (2-1) – Saturday, April 17, 2021

Cobras started their Spring 2021 Saturday Lincoln Park Men’s INT Flag Football league in style as they crushed Eric’s Martians by the final score of 39-12. If Cobras keep it up on offense, do not be surprised if they keep earning more wins, as these guys are the highest-scoring team in the league early on for the season. QB Chuck threw six TDs, finding Timothy Hanrahan and Matt Troja for three apiece. Cobras will look to build on this season opening victory as they have two games on their schedule coming up in Week 3. They will first take the field against Saturday’s are for the Boys (1-1) before stepping right back onto the field to take on Bears Free Agent Signing’s (0-2). Eric’s Martians struggled to get it going in this game, scoring less than their average of 18.70 points per game this season. For Eric’s Martians, they will have an extra week to stew over this loss as they have a BYE coming up in Week 3.
