Mambas (6-1) v. Schoolyard Dogs (3-2-1) – Monday, May 17, 2021
Mambas concluded the regular season portion of their schedule in Week 6 of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT Flag Football League with a thrilling 26-20 victory over Schoolyard Dogs. Mambas got some sweet revenge from their Week 1 loss to this crew. Mambas really buckled down in this game, prevailing despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 6.7 points per game. QB Alec Fidan fired four TD scores, connecting with Dino Perocevic and Ameer Jaber for two scores apiece. With this Week 6 victory, Mambas lock up the overall #1 seed for the upcoming postseason tournament. Mambas will have a BYE coming up in Week 7 prior to beginning their postseason journey. Schoolyard Dogs were unable to put up much of a defensive effort in this game, allowing more points than their average of 16.70 points against per game this season.
