Spring 2021 Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT/COMP Flag Football – Week 5

Schoolyard Dogs (3-1-1) v. Bitcoiners (3-3) – Monday, May 10, 2021

Schoolyard Dogs got some sweet revenge from last week’s loss to Bitcoiners as Schoolyard Dogs won the rematch between these two crews in Week 5 of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT Flag Football League. With a final score of 30-18, Schoolyard Dogs now have their eyes on the prize. Schoolyard Dogs really showed up in this one, exceeding their average of 20.00 points per game. QB John Davidson threw four touchdowns, hitting Jon Arenas for three of them and rushed in one on his own. Schoolyard Dogs could not celebrate this victory for too long as they needed to step right back onto the field and take on Hash-slinging Slashers as they had the Week 5 double header on their slate. More on this game below. Bitcoiners really did not have their best showing on the defensive end in this one, allowing more points than their average of 21.80 PAPG for the season. During the loss for Bitcoiners, QB Tommy Sutker hit Kyle Kinner for one touchdown. Hash-slinging Slashers (1-4-1) is next up on the calendar for Bitcoiners coming up in Week 6, as they look to get back on track prior to the postseason beginning.

 

Schoolyard Dogs (3-1-1) v. Hash-slinging Slashers (1-4-1) – Monday, May 10, 2021

Back in Week 3, these teams tied, but it was Team Schoolyard Dogs for the W in this Week 5 meeting in the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT Flag Football League. By the score of 20-6, Schoolyard Dogs got a big W. This team really stepped up on the defensive end in this one, beating their season points against average of 14.8 points per game. QB John Davidson delivered three more TDs, hitting Jake Coon for two of them. Schoolyard Dogs will have another two more opportunities to rack up some more victories prior to the postseason beginning as they have the Week 6 double header on their slate. They will first take the field against Mambas (5-1) before stepping right back onto the field to take on 4th and Schlong (1-4). Hash-slinging Slashers really were unable to get rolling in this game, scoring less than their average of 11.70 points per game this year. During the loss, QB Kevin Davidson hit Danny Hoffman for one touchdown. Bitcoiners (3-3-0) is next up on the schedule for Hash-slinging Slashers, as they look to get into the winner’s circle prior to the postseason beginning.

 

Mambas (5-1) v. 4th and Schlong (1-4) – Monday, May 10, 2021

4th and Schlong forfeited to Mambas in Week 5 of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT Flag Football League as 4th and Schlong could not field enough starters to play a legal game. Next up for Mambas is a Game against Schoolyard Dogs (3-1-1) coming up in Week 6, as they look to close out their regular season schedule with a five-game winning streak. Next up for 4th and Schlong is a battle versus Schoolyard Dogs (3-1-1) coming up in Week 6, as they attempt to bounce back prior to the postseason beginning.
