Spring 2021 Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT/COMP Flag Football – Week 2

4th and Schlong (1-1) v. Hash-slinging Slashers (0-2) – Monday, April 12, 2021

4th and Schlong recorded their first win of the season as they put 21 on the board and held Hash-slinging Slashers to just 7 points in Week 2 of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s Flag Football League.  If 4th and Schlong keep playing like this, they are sure to find more victories, as they are the highest-scoring team in the league early on for the season averaging 16.5 PPG. QB Charlie Hupp delivered three touchdowns, connecting with three different receivers along the way. For 4th and Schlong, every week is a critical game to grab wins early on. Next up is a match-up with Mambas (2-1-0) coming up in Week 3. Hash-slinging Slashers really gave everything they had despite losing, exceeding their point total from their opening matchup. For Hash-slinging Slashers, in the loss, QB Jacob Lewis hit Spencer Cotten for their only score in this game. For Hash-slinging Slashers they will have two opportunities to pick up their first win of the season coming up in Week 3 as they have a double header on their slate. They will first take the field against Bitcoiners (1-1) before stepping right back onto the field to take on Schoolyard Dogs (1-0). Big week coming up for Hash-slinging Slashers.

Mambas (2-1) v. Bitcoiners (1-1) – Monday, April 12, 2021

The Mambas upended Bitcoiners 28-7 in Week 2 of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s Flag Football League in a game that was never really that close after the first half. The final score of 28-7 reflects the hard work Mambas put into every minute of the game. QB Alec Fidan was on fire in this matchup for Mambas as they delivered four TD passes, connecting with Austin Zavis for two of them. Mambas will look to stay near the top of the League Standings with another W in Week 3. 4th and Schlong (1-1-0) are next on the calendar for Mambas as they look to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season. The season is still young, but Bitcoiners are one of the lowest-scoring team in the league so far. Tommy Sutker ran one in for Bitcoiners to help save their team from a shutout in this contest. For Bitcoiners they will have a date against Hash-slinging Slashers (0-2-0) coming up in Week 3 as they look to get back into the winners circle.
