Spring 2021 Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football – Week 3
KaBoom! (3-1) v. Nasty Narwhals (0-3) – Monday, April 19, 2021
Despite a few hiccups along the way, KaBoom! managed to put together a few solid offensive drives and walked away with a 20-6 victory over Nasty Narwhals in Week 3 of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football League. Earning the same result as they did on opening night, KaBoom! won the rematch between these two squads. Defensively, KaBoom! brought their A game in this one, beating their season points against average of 16.0 points per game. No Punt Intended (1-2-0) are next up on the calendar for KaBoom! coming up in Week 4, as they look to keep it going. Nasty Narwhals did not have their best stuff on offense in this one, scoring less than their average of 13.30 ppg for the year. During the loss, QB Adam Castello hit Blake Little for their only score in this game. Nasty Narwhals looks to put a 1 in the win column up in Week 4 against Flags & Flasks (1-0-0).
Flags & Flasks (1-0) v. No Punt Intended (1-2) – Monday, April 19, 2021
It was not just that QB Matt Sandt threw for a ton of yards and four touchdowns. Most impressive was how he did it. Sandt juked, danced, and jumped in and out of the pocket. Sometimes he just dropped back and fired pinpoint throws downfield. He tossed shovel passes and flung it sidearmed. The common thread was that just about everything he did worked for Flags & Flasks, who rolled past No Punt Intended 34-20 in Week 3 of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football League. Flags & Flasks will attempt to remain undefeated coming up in Week 4 with two games on their schedule. They will first battle with this same No Punt Intended (1-2) crew before stepping right back onto the field to take on Nasty Narwhals (0-3). No Punt Intended really struggled to stop anything on the defensive end in this one, allowing more points than their average of 27.00 points against per game for the year. For No Punt Intended, QB Carlie hit Nik Gilliam for two of their three touchdown passes. No Punt Intended will have two opportunities in Week 4 to rebound from this defeat. They will first take the field against KaBoom! (3-1) before stepping right back onto the field to take on this very same Flag & Flasks (1-0) crew.
