SPRING 2018 WED LINCOLN PARK COED REC FLAG FOOTBALL – CSSC LEAGUE RECAP – WEEK 7

Prestige Worldwide (4-2) v. INDY Team #7 (1-5) – Wednesday, May 09, 2018

In this last week of regular season games, the #4 seed, Prestige Worldwide, took on the #10 seed, INDY Team #7. With a final score of 20-6, Prestige Worldwide is fired up and ready for the next match. They really fought for this game, emerging victorious, despite scoring less than their avg. ppg of 26.70. QB Keith Goldner threw two touchdowns, with Jason and Abe Schwadron on the receiving end of them. In the loss for INDY Team #7, QB Ben Ostermann hit Nicholas Ma for one touchdown. Prestige Worldwide’s win this Wednesday locked in their spot as the #4 seed in the playoff bracket. They’ll face the #5 seeded team, Any Given Wednesday. It was a rough regular season for INDY Team #7, who finished as the 10th place seed. They’ll face the #7 seeded team, The Salty Sack (2-4-0). The last time these teams met The Salty Sack won 27-13.

 

TCG Ballers (2-3-1) v. Will Tau (0-6) – Wednesday, May 09, 2018

It was an exciting last week of regular season match, in which the #9 seed, TCG Ballers, just barely locked in the win with a 5-point margin against the #11 seed, Will Tau. By the score of 32-27, TCG Ballers got a nail biting W. TCG Ballers really brought it, topping their average of 14.20 points per game. QB Nick Dunlap passed three touchdowns, hitting Allen for two of them, Matt for one of them and scampered for one more. Even with the L on their record, Will Tau really gave everything they had, topping their average of 14.50 points per game this season. During the loss for Will Tau, QB Bret hit JT Bohland, Dan, and Michael Johnson-Hales for some scores. It’s time for playoffs! TCG Ballers is heating up with this week’s win, which lands them in 9th place at the end of the regular season. They’ll face Bad News Bears (#8 seed) and try keep their streak going in the first week of playoffs. The last time these teams met, Bad News Bears won 14-14. Will Tau finished the regular season in 11th place and will face the #6 seeded team, Flaggin’ Ball Z (3-4-0) in the first round of playoffs. This is the second time these teams are scheduled to play each other, but it’s hard to say who will win next week, since Will Tau forfeited the match earlier this season.

 

No Punt Intended (6-0) v. S.H.I.T. (superheroes in training) (5-2) – Wednesday, May 09, 2018

Going into this game S.H.I.T. (superheroes in training) had 5 wins this season. By the score of 24-14, No Punt Intended got a solid W to remain unbeaten this year.  These guys are averaging 32.3 ppg. QB Justin Dreyfuss threw three scores, finding Dani for two of them and Gabe Lipari for one of them. During the loss, QB Kevin Linklater hit Dan Fricano for one touchdown and rushed for one. No Punt Intended had a perfect regular season and locked in first place going into playoffs. No Punt Intended will play the winner of the #9 vs. #8 seed game. Even with a loss this week, S.H.I.T. (superheroes in training) was so far ahead in the rankings, they locked in the #1 seed for playoffs. They’ll face the #4 seeded team, Multiple scoregasms (0-6-0). The last time these teams met S.H.I.T. (superheroes in training) won 27-6.

 

The Recruits (5-1) v. The Salty Sack (2-4) – Wednesday, May 09, 2018

No one expected this last week of regular season game to be such a close one. The Recruits, the #2 seed barely squeaked by in this 1-touchdown game to beat the #7 seed, The Salty Sack by the final count of 30-26. This team really buckled down in this game, earning the win despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 20.5 points per game. QB Derek Parker delivered three touchdowns, hitting Salem George, Fred and Allie each for one of them. For The Salty Sack, in the loss, QB Eric Berg hit Aron for one touchdown and ran into the end zone for one. The loss dropped The Salty Sack down to the #7 seed. They’ll face the #10 seeded team, INDY Team #7 (1-5-0). The last time these teams met The Salty Sack won 27-13. The Recruits’ win this Wednesday solidified their spot as the #2 seed in the playoff bracket. They’ll face the winner of the #10 vs. #7 seed game.

 

Bad News Bears (2-3-1) v. Flaggin’ Ball Z (3-4) – Wednesday, May 09, 2018

In this extremely close contest Bad News Bears, the #8 seed, emerged as the victors against the #6 seed, Flaggin’ Ball Z, by only a 2-point margin. Bad News Bears put 14 on the board and held their opponent to 12 points.  These guys really buckled down in this one, prevailing, despite scoring less than their avg. ppg of 16.50. QB Steve delivered two touchdowns, passing to Joe Austria and Terry Muldoon each for one of them.  For Flaggin’ Ball Z, QB David Romanchuk hit Christopher Englert and Eman Bucaro each for one touchdown. Bad News Bears’ win this week locked them in as the #8 seed. They’ll face the #9 seeded team, TCG Ballers. The last time these teams met, Bad News Bears won 14-14. Flaggin’ Ball Z finished the regular season in 6th place and will face the #11 seeded team, Will Tau (0-6-0) in the first round of playoffs. This is the second time these teams are scheduled to play each other, but it’s hard to say who will win next week, since Will Tau forfeited the match earlier this season.

 

Accounts Playable (4-2) v. Multiple scoregasms (0-6) – Wednesday, May 09, 2018

Accounts Playable, the #3 seed, took on Multiple scoregasms, the #4 seed, in this last week of regular season games. Accounts Playable put 33 on the board and held Multiple scoregasms to 12 points.  Accounts Playable really brought it in this game, beating their average of 23.80 points per game. QB Michael Scherpenberg passed four scores, finding Ryan Aykroid and Teddy Griglione for two of them each. Multiple scoregasms really did everything they could in this one even with this loss on their record, topping their average of 10.50 points per game this year. For Multiple scoregasms, QB’s Bassim Audi and Nick Seager hit Andrew Lively and Bassim Audi for one touchdown each. Accounts Playable’s win this Wednesday locked in their spot as the #3 seed going into playoffs. They’ll face the winner of the #11 vs. #6 seed game. The loss for Multiple scoregasms leaves them as the #4 seed heading into playoffs. They’ll face the #1 seeded team, S.H.I.T. (superheroes in training) (5-2-0). The last time these teams met S.H.I.T. (superheroes in training) won 27-6.
