Columbia Renegades forfeited to Who Said Cheers?! in this match-up. This is the second week in a row Who Said Cheers?! took home the win. This was Columbia Renegades’ second forfeit of the season, likely disqualifying them from partaking in playoffs. Next up for Who Said Cheers?! is a throwdown against Mayhem (2-3-0).   Columbia Renegades will seek to break their winless streak next week against Spoons FC (3-1-0).

 

Chicago Shooters (3-2) vs. Spoons FC (3-1) – Sunday, May 06, 2018

In this match, Chicago Shooters beat Spoons FC 6-3. This is Spoons FC’s first loss of the season, but they are so far ahead in the standings that it didn’t impact their #1 ranking in the league. The losing team still had notable players including Jake Fisher, who netted two goals for Spoons FC, and Lara Lieberman, who netted one goal.  Burton Birdwatchers (2-2-0) is next up on the calendar for Spoons FC, as they attempt to bounce back. First shout-out goes to Matt Robinson of Chicago Shooters who now is in the lead for the scoring title with 6 goals. Matt Robinson scored a hat trick with four goals to help gain the club the W. Next up for Chicago Shooters is a battle against Treadmill Trotters (2-1-1).

 

Treadmill Trotters (2-1-1) vs. Burton Birdwatchers (2-2) – Sunday, May 06, 2018

In this match, Treadmill Trotters beat Burton Birdwatchers 6-2. Treadmill Trotters continued their winning streak this week and are officially on fire. Peter W earned a hat trick with four goals to help earn the group the victory. Chicago Shooters (3-2-0) are next up on the schedule for Treadmill Trotters, as they look to keep it going.  Burton Birdwatchers really didn’t have their best stuff in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 3.3 goals per game for the season. Paul Boehme was the star player for Burton Birdwatchers this week. He scored both goals for them. Next up for Burton Birdwatchers is a match-up against Spoons FC (3-1-0), as they try to bounce back.
