Neymar Team For Us (8-0) vs. FC Healthscape (3-3-2) – Monday, June 11, 2018
No one expected this Quarter-Final game to be such a close one. In this nail-biter Neymar Team For Us, the #1 seed, just squeaked by in this 1-point game to beat the #9 seed, FC Healthscape. Neymar Team For Us had a double header this week, and both matches were victories, which means they’re officially heating up! Alex Cahill was among those who scored in this playoff win for Neymar Team For Us, putting one shot past the FC Healthscape goalkeeper, John Pacer. This win advanced Neymar Team For Us to semi-finals, which was played as a double header. The exciting recap of that game is below. FC Healthscape really struggled defensively in this one, allowing more goals than their average of 1.9 goals against per game for the season. Jayant Trewn was the star player for FC Healthscape this week and scored all two goals for the squad. INDY Team #3, the #2 seed just squeaked by in this 1-point game to beat the #7 seed, LPSE. After their first win INDY Team #3 was fired up for a double header, and impressively won both matches and increased their total goals scored to 34. Daniel Omahoney leads INDY Team #3 this season in scoring and added another goal to their stats this week bringing his personal total to 10. LPSE really struggled to get it going in terms of scoring in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 2.0 GPG for the season. Ronaldo Vegs notched the only goal for LPSE to prevent the shut out. The win for INDY Team #3 meant a straight shot to semi-finals, a game which they played immediately following the quarter-final game. The recap below tells you all about it. Winded City (6-1-1) vs. Avocado Discoballs (4-2-2) – Monday, June 11, 2018
Coming into this matchup, Winded City were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 8 goals last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #3 seed playing the #6 seed, Avocado Discoballs. These seemingly significant advantages just barely gave Winded City the edge, as they took the win to advance to Semi-Finals by just one point. Clearly the team came ready for a double header this week. They won both matches, which means they were hot! The real MVP in this close match was the goalkeeper for Winded City, Brett Myers, who had a shutout. Winded City advanced to semi-finals, and without a week to rest, jumped right into it as a double header. See how they did by reading the next recap. Avocado Discoballs were unable to get rolling in this game, and suffered a shutout. Unfortunately for Avocado Discoballs, this loss means the end of their season.

Penthouse Pumpkins (5-4-1) vs. Dribble Fo’Shizzle (5-3) – Monday, June 11, 2018
They weren’t the favored team, but underdogs Penthouse Pumpkins, the #13 seed upset the #5 seed, Dribble Fo’Shizzle, in this Quarter-Final match. Dribble Fo’Shizzle struggled to get it going on the offensive end in this game, and their attack was not reflective of their 11 overall goals throughout this season. Dribble Fo’shizzle is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon. This was one of two games for Penthouse Pumpkins this week. They won both matches helping to boost them to the #13 rank in the standings. The two MVPs in this match were the goalkeeper for Penthouse Pumpkins, Nate Kleinman, who had a shutout, and Joel Conzelmann who scored all the goals in the game. Heading into this Semi-Final game, Winded City were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 8 goals last week yet they couldn’t do enough to take the win to advance to the Championship Game. This was one of two games for Winded City this week, and they seemed tired in this one, preventing them from repeating their first game win. Winded City is done with playoffs, which means it’s time for a team meeting at the bar to regroup for next season. This was one of two games for INDY Team #3. Both matches were victories, and the squad is now on a 4-game winning streak. Patrick O’Mahoney was among those who scored in this playoff win for INDY Team #3, putting one shot past the Winded City goalkeeper, Brett Myers. Penthouse Pumpkins (5-4-1) vs. INDY Team #3 (8-2) – Monday, June 11, 2018
In this exciting Championship Game, the #13 team, Penthouse Pumpkins played the #2 team, INDY Team #3, for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory. INDY Team #3 had already had two games this week, and notched W’s in both meetings. Patrick O’Mahoney scored the only goal for INDY Team #3 to prevent the shut out. Penthouse Pumpkins came ready for a double header this week. Joel Conzelmann did all the scoring for Penthouse Pumpkins in this game, including the game-winning goal. INDY Team #3 came so close to the championship title; they’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table. Congratulations to Penthouse Pumpkins on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.
