SPRING 2018 MON LINCOLN PARK SOUTH COED 8 VS. 8 SOCCER – CSSC LEAGUE RECAP – WEEK 7

INDY Team #15 (2-4) vs. GT Soccer (3-3) – Monday, May 21, 2018

INDY Team #15 dominated this game in shut out fashion against GT Soccer with a final score of 4-0.  Their goalkeeper, Daniel Mcdermott, is credited with the shutout as well as 2 goals! Jonathan Burnett and Mike Blankenberger each had a goal for INDY Team #15. GT Soccer didn’t have their best stuff in this game. INDY Team #15’s win this week solidified their spot as the #11 seed going into playoffs. They’ll face the #6 seeded team, Avocado Discoballs. This loss for GT Soccer pushes them down to the #8 seed. They’ll face the #9 seeded team, FC Healthscape (2-2-2). The last time these teams met they tied, so next week’s matchup could be a close one.

 

INDY Team #3 (5-1) vs. FC Healthscape (2-2-2) – Monday, May 21, 2018
INDY Team #3 beat FC Healthscape 6-2 in this week’s match. FC Healthscape really were unable to stop much on D in this one, allowing more goals than their average of 1.8 goals against per game this season. The losing team still had notable players including Jayant Trewn and Neil Precilio, who each kicked one goal for FC Healthscape. INDY Team #3 are having a remarkable offensive season. They’re averaging 4 goals per game. Daniel Omahoney kicked two goals to help earn the squad the win. It just wasn’t their season as FC Healthscape finished as the 9th place seed. They’ll face the #8 seeded team, GT Soccer (3-3-0). The last time these teams met they tied, so next week’s matchup could be a close one.  INDY Team #3’s win this week locked them in as the #2 seed in the playoff bracket. They’ll face the #15 seeded team, Wintrust FC.

 

Dribble Fo’Shizzle (4-2) vs. Might be Messi (0-5-1) – Monday, May 21, 2018
Dribble Fo’Shizzle took home the 2-1 victory in a close Game where the defenses dominated, totaling three goals. It’s week 7 and Might be Messi continue to struggle offensively, and have only scored a total of 5 goals all season. Emma Healy scored the only goal for Might be Messi to get their team on the board. It was a rough regular season for Might be Messi, who finished as the 16th place seed. They’ll face the #1 seeded team, Neymar Team For Us (6-0-0). The last time these teams met they tied, so next week’s matchup could be a close one.  Andrew Rottenberg and Nick Ernst each scored one goal to help earn the crew the victory. Dribble Fo’Shizzle’s win this week locked them in as the #5 seed. They’ll face the #12 seeded team, All Keepers. The last time these teams met, Dribble Fo’Shizzle won 2-1.
