SPRING 2018 – MON LINCOLN PARK COED 8 VS 8 SOCCER – CSSC LEAGUE RECAP – WEEK 4

INDY Team #6 (0-2-2) vs. FC Healthscape (1-1-2) – Monday, April 30, 2018
The underdog, INDY Team #6 (currently ranked 11th in the league) tied the favored FC Healthscape (currently ranked #8) with a final score of 1-1. They’re hungry for wins, but INDY Team #6 have a streak of 2 draws. For INDY Team #6, Joseph Sweda kicked one goal to provide some scoring. Exiting week 4, INDY Team #6 will look ahead to Might be Messi (0-3-1) who are next on the docket. This is FC Healthscape’s second tie this season. Austin Bostock was the star player for FC Healthscape this week. He scored the only goal for them. For FC Healthscape next up is Avocado Discoballs (3-0-1).

JNAM FC (3-1) vs. All Keepers (0-3-1) – Monday, April 30, 2018
JNAM FC put on a show on both sides of the pitch against All Keepers with a final score of 2-0. All Keepers didn’t have their best stuff in this one and failed to make it onto the scoreboard. All Keepers will look to break their win-less streak next week with a match-up versus GT Soccer (2-2-0). JNAM FC really battled for this contest, earning the W, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 3.0.  The club’s goalkeeper Phil Cygan stone-walled the opponents, earning a shutout for their record. To help earn the crew the W, Eric Selcke and Jacob Stoeckmann accounted for one goal each. Winded City (4-0-0) are next up on the schedule for JNAM FC, as they look to keep it going.

Avocado Discoballs (3-0-1) vs. Might be Messi (0-3-1) – Monday, April 30, 2018
Avocado Discoballs played well here and blanked Might be Messi with a final score of 2-0. Might be Messi were unable to get rolling in this one and suffered a shutout.  Might be Messi will attempt to get off the schneid next Monday against INDY Team #6 (0-2-2). Avocado Discoballs really brought their A game on defense in this one, beating their season goals against average of 0.5  GPG.  The club’s goalkeeper John Nguyen is credited with the clean sheet. To guide the squad’s offense, both Aaron Petry and Dan Niebergall accounted for one goal. Next Monday, Avocado Discoballs take on FC Healthscape (1-1-2) in an attempt to stay perfect.

Winded City (4-0) vs. GT Soccer (2-2) – Monday, April 30, 2018
Winded City were incredible on both sides of the pitch against GT Soccer with a final score of 5-0. GT Soccer was unable to get rolling in terms of scoring in this game, and came short of making it onto the scoreboard. All Keepers (0-3-1) are next up on the schedule for GT Soccer, as they attempt to bounce back. Winded City really stepped up in this one, topping their average of 3.8 goals per game.  Their goalie Brett Myers played very well in the shutout. To help earn the crew the win, Karolina Cholewa accounted for two goals. Also adding to the final score was Andy Malnor, Jeff, and Jii with one goal each. Next week, Winded City seeks to remain unbeaten with a throwdown against JNAM FC (3-1-0).

LPSE (3-1) vs. Dribble Fo’Shizzle (3-1) – Monday, April 30, 2018
LPSE and Dribble Fo’Shizzle competed in a Game where the defenses dominated, totaling three goals. LPSE took home the 2-1 victory. LPSE really buckled down in this contest, winning, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 3.0.  Ariana Gonzalez and Antonio Desario lasered in one goal each to provide some scoring. This is Dribble Fo’Shizzle’s first loss of the season. Corbin Bielefeldt scored the only goal for Dribble Fo’Shizzle to prevent the shut out. Next up for LPSE is a Game versus INDY Team #3 (3-1-0). Next up for Dribble Fo’Shizzle is a showdown against Penthouse Pumpkins (0-4-0), as they attempt to bounce back.

INDY Team #3 (3-1) vs. Penthouse Pumpkins (0-4) – Monday, April 30, 2018
In this match, INDY Team #3 beat Penthouse Pumpkins 6-1. Penthouse Pumpkins have had a rough season. It’s week 4 and they’ve only scored a total of 2 goals. Joel Conzelmann scored the only goal for Penthouse Pumpkins to get his team on the board.  Penthouse Pumpkins will try to get off the schneid next week against Dribble Fo’Shizzle (3-1-0). INDY Team #3 is on fire Daniel O’Mahoney earned a hat trick with three goals to lead the crew’s attack. Jack Wichmann, Michael Deremo, and Patrick O’Mahoney also scored one goal each for INDY Team #3. LPSE (3-1-0) are next up on the docket for INDY Team #3, as they look to keep it going.

Fist City FC (0-1-3) vs. Wintrust FC (0-2-2) – Monday, April 30, 2018
Fist City FC and Wintrust FC took part in a draw and concluded all tied up at 1-1. They’re hungry for wins, but Wintrust FC has a 2-game draw streak. Leno Mendoza was the star player for Wintrust FC this week, and scored the only goal for the team. This tie for the Fist City FC came as a pleasant surprise considering it’s week 4 and they have only scored a total of 2 goals. For Fist City FC, Jeffrey D’Agostino kicked one goal to spearhead the club’s offense.  For Wintrust FC they will go toe to toe with INDY Team #15 (0-4-0).  Exiting week 4, Fist City FC will look ahead to Neymar Team For Us (4-0-0) who are next on the calendar.

Neymar Team For Us (4-0) vs. INDY Team #15 (0-4) – Monday, April 30, 2018
Neymar Team For Us dominated INDY Team #15 with a final score of just 1-0. INDY Team #15 was unable to get rolling on offense in this game and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net.  Next Monday, Neymar Team For Us faces off against Wintrust FC (0-2-2) in an attempt to get their first win. Neymar Team For Us buckled down in this battle, winning, despite scoring less than their avg. GPG of 2.0.  Their goalie Taylor Lydon and Dan Kuhlman stone-walled the opponents, earning a shutout for their record. To help earn the squad the win, Dan Kuhlman accounted for one goal. Neymar Team For Us will look to remain unbeaten next Monday with a pairing versus Fist City FC (0-1-3).
