It was an exciting match, in which the #2 seed, INDY Team #2, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #4 seed, ESD with a final score of 2-1. Daniel Landon and Hasan Mustafic both scored a goal leading to the defeat of ESD. Landon leads INDY Team #2 this season in scoring, with his goal this past week Landon has a total of 4 goals for the season, which is the highest in the league. INDY Team #2’s win this week locked them in as the #2 seed. Next week, they will face the #3 seeded team, Shenanigans. They played each other earlier this season in week 1, and Shenanigans won 3-2. We’ll see if history repeats itself next week. ESD will face off against the #1 seed Team America in the playoffs.
Team America (3-0-3) vs. Shenanigans (2-1-3) – Friday, May 18, 2018
In this game, the #1 seed, Team America, took on the #3 seed, Shenanigans. Two weeks in a row, they’ve been so close to victory, but instead, Team America have a 2-game draw streak. For Team America, Mike Dash scored one goal, and for Shenanigans, Spencer Neved put one on the board. This week’s tie locked in Team America for the #1 seed going into playoffs. Next week they’ll face ESD in a rematch. Last time they played each other Team America won 5-0. Shenanigans used this game to claim the 3rd seed. They take on the #2 seed team, INDY Team #2, in the first round of playoffs. These two teams matched up in week 1 resulting in a 3-2 victory for Shenanigans.
