Shenanigans (4-1-3) vs. Team America (4-1-3) – Friday, June 8, 2018
In this suspenseful Championship Game, the #1 team, Shenanigans played the #1 team, Team America, for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory. This is the second week in a row Shenanigans took home the win. Michael Roeder was among those who scored in this playoff win for Shenanigans, putting one shot past the Team America goalkeeper, Nick Morrell. Congratulations to Shenanigans on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. This is Team America’s first loss of the season but it didn’t impact their #1 ranking in the league. Emily Kahan scored the only goal for Team America to get their team on the board, which narrowed the gap for the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table.
