Train Wreck (8-2) vs. Toe Ballers (6-3) – Wednesday, November 14, and 2018
It was an exciting Semi-final game, in which the #2 seed, Train Wreck, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #3 seed, Toe Ballers. Toe Ballers struggled to get it going in this one, and came short of making it onto the scoreboard. Hopefully the loss doesn’t haunt Toe Ballers too much. There’s always next season. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeeper for Train Wreck, Jason Bates, who had a shutout, and Matt who scored the only goal of the game. Train Wreck increased their total goals scored to 30. The two MVPs in this close match were the goalkeeper for Train Wreck, Jason Bates, who had a shutout, and Scott Orr who scored the only goal of the game. Congratulations to Train Wreck on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. Zombies! had two games this week. Sometimes double headers help you get in a groove, other times they lead to heavy legs. Zombies! came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table.
