Kick in a Box beat Reside Living 4-1 in this week’s match. Cai, Kelsey, Catherine H. and Shawn D each kicked one goal to help earn the group the victory. Kick in a Box’s win this week locked them in as the #6 seed. They’ll face the #3 seeded team, Toe Ballers, for the first round of playoffs. The last time these teams met, Toe Ballers won 1-0. Reside Living have had a rough season. It’s week 6 and they’ve only scored a total of 2 goals. Thomas Bieller scored the only goal for Reside Living to prevent the shut out. The loss dropped Reside Living down to the #8 seed. They’ll face the #1 seeded team, Blue Guys (4-0-2). The last time these teams met Blue Guys won 7-0.

 

Blue Guys (4-0-2) vs. Train Wreck (5-2) – Wednesday, October 31, and 2018

Blue Guys defeated Train Wreck with a final score of just 1-0. Blue Guys continued their winning streak this week and are officially on fire. The team’s goalie Mike Taylor deserves much of the credit after earning a clean sheet. To help get the crew the win, Mike A kicked one goal. Train Wreck had two games this week. If they had only this game, it might have been a different result, but at least the loss didn’t ding their standings too bad as they still sit at the top of the table in 2nd place. Blue Guys’s win this week locked them in as the #1 seed. They’ll face the #8 seeded team, Reside Living. The last time these teams met, Blue Guys won 7-0. Despite the loss this week, Train Wreck locked in their spot at the #2 seed. They’ll face the #7 seeded team, INDY Team #5 (1-5-0). The last time these teams met Train Wreck won 9-0.

 

Train Wreck (5-2) vs. Zombies! (2-2-2) – Wednesday, October 31, and 2018

Train Wreck wrapped up the regular season with a double header and benefited from a win in this game, beating Zombies! 1-0. Zombies! struggled to get it going on the offensive end in this game, but they’ve had 7 overall goals this season. The loss dropped Zombies! down to the #5 seed. They’ll face the #4 seeded team, Alright Alright Alright (3-2-1). The last time these teams met they tied, so next week’s match-up could be a close one. Train Wreck had two games this week. This was the better played match, which helped them claim their #2 rank in the standings table. The team’s goalie Jason Bates is credited with the clean sheet. To help earn the team the W, Matt Ross scored one goal. Train Wreck’s win this week locked them in as the #2 seed. They’ll face the #7 seeded team, INDY Team #5. Toe Ballers (5-2) vs. INDY Team #5 (1-5) – Wednesday, October 31, and 2018

Toe Ballers had a double header for the last week of the regular season. In this match against INDY Team #5 they earned a tally in the win column with a final score of 5-1. INDY Team #5 was unable to stop much in terms of defense in this one, allowing more goals than their average of 3.3 goals against per game for the season. Ryan Ferris scored the only goal for INDY Team #5 to prevent the shut out. Toe Ballers had a double header. They won both matches and increased their total goals scored to 14.
