Fall 2018 Wednesday Lincoln Park Men’s Intermediate Flag Football – Week 2

I Gotta Thielen (1-1) v. Son of a Butcher (0-2) – Wednesday, October 10, and 2018

I Gotta Thielen and Son of a Butcher competed in a nail-biter. I Gotta Thielen put 18 on the board and held Son of a Butcher at 12 points. They really brought it in this game, exceeding their opening game point total. QB Johnny Chalkin delivered two TDs, passing to Max Shiner for all of them and rushed for one more. In the loss, Son of a Butcher really did everything they could on offense in this one, exceeding their total from their Week 1 contest. During the loss for Son of a Butcher, QB Rick Rodriguez hit Laquan for two touchdowns.  I Gotta Thielen will attempt to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 3. This week I Gotta Thielen will line-up against Washed up Redhawks (1-1-0).   For Son of a Butcher next up is a battle against Tigers (0-1-1) as they look to bounce back.

 

River Shannons (2-1) v. Big Tuddies (1-2) – Wednesday, October 10, and 2018

River Shannons and Big Tuddies competed in close one too, by the final score of 12-6, River Shannons grabbed the W. They really battled for this one, prevailing, despite scoring less than their average points per game of 14.30. QB William Walker delivered two scores, finding Sambino Stramaglia for both of them. Even though they lost, Big Tuddies really gave it their all on the offensive end in this one, topping their average of 4.30 ppg this season. In the loss, QB Andy Gertonson hit Jake Brock for one touchdown.  Exiting week 2, River Shannons will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. Next up is a battle with 2 and 20 (1-0-1).   For Big Tuddies they will have a contest against 3rd & 8 Ball (1-0-1) as they attempt to get to the win column.

 

Washed up Redhawks (1-1) v. Maryland Dawgs (0-2) – Wednesday, October 10, and 2018

Washed up Redhawks and Maryland Dawgs were extremely evenly matched in this one. With a final score of 19-12, Washed up Redhawks are fired up and ready for the next match. QB Matt passed two touchdowns, hitting Julian and Alex R for one TD each. Maryland Dawgs did everything they could on the offensive end, beating their total from their Week 1 match-up. For Washed up Redhawks, every week is a critical opportunity to grab wins early on. Corey Pettit rushed two touchdowns to get his team on the board. This week Washed up Redhawks will line-up against I Gotta Thielen (1-1-0). As for Maryland Dawgs they’ll move on to a battle with Gartner for TD Leaders (0-1-1) as they attempt to come back from this one.

 

Maloney’s Misfits (2-0) v. River Shannons (2-1) – Wednesday, October 10, and 2018

With a final score of 21-6, Maloney’s Misfits stays undefeated in the campaign. QB Pat passed two touchdowns, passing to Butterfield for one of them and ran in one on his own. River Shannons really were unable to get rolling in this game, scoring less than their average of 14.30 points per game for the year. For River Shannons, in the loss, QB William Walker hit Sambino Stramaglia for one touchdown.  Maloney’s Misfits will look to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 3. bass2mouth (2-1-0) are next on the calendar for Maloney’s Misfits. bass2mouth (2-1) v. NetSuite (1-1) – Wednesday, October 10, and 2018

bass2mouth and NetSuite were pretty evenly matched in this game. By the score of 12-6, bass2mouth got a victory.  They fought hard for this game, prevailing despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 4.0 points per game. QB Mike threw two touchdowns, passing to Travis Smith and Ben each for one of them. NetSuite really were unable to get rolling on offense in this one, scoring less than their total from their opening contest. For NetSuite, QB Andy Mathews hit Joshua Lorenz for one touchdown. Exiting week 2, bass2mouth will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. Maloney’s Misfits (2-0-0) are next on the schedule for them.   For NetSuite they’ll move on to a game with Wolves of Marcey St (2-0-0) as they strive to bounce back.

 

3rd & 8 Ball (1-0-1) v. Gartner for TD Leaders (0-1-1) – Wednesday, October 10, and 2018

3rd & 8 Ball and Gartner for TD Leaders finished all tied up at 0-0. Looks like both of their defenses were unstoppable, or maybe both of their offenses need some more practice, either way at least it’s not a loss! Not quite a win either though.. Let’s see how they do next week. Exiting week 2, 3rd & 8 Ball looks ahead to Big Tuddies (1-2-0) who are next on the calendar. For Gartner for TD Leaders they will face off with Maryland Dawgs (0-2-0).

 

bass2mouth (2-1) v. 2 Star Recruits (1-1) – Wednesday, October 10, and 2018

bass2mouth put 26 on the board and held 2 Star Recruits to 6 points. This team buckled down in this one, emerging victorious, despite scoring less than their average points per game of 12.30. QB Mike threw four TDs, finding Ben for two of them. 2 Star Recruits really gave everything they had in this game even though they lost, topping their total from their first contest. Maloney’s Misfits (2-0-0) are next on the schedule for bass2mouth, as they look to keep up the momentum. For 2 Star Recruits next up is a contest with Any Given Wednesday (0-2-0) as they attempt to come back from this one.

 

Wolves of Marcey St (2-0) v. Tigers (0-1-1) – Wednesday, October 10, and 2018

Wolves of Marcey St and Tigers ended with a final score of 28-12.  Meaning, Wolves of Marcey St remains undefeated. They really brought their A game in this game, exceeding their first game point total. QB Joe Geraldi passed two TDs, passing to Anthony Gentile and Kevin Cooney for one each and ran for two with his legs. Tigers are averaging 14.50 points per game. In the loss for Tigers, QB Spencer Conn hit Harrison Lanning for one touchdown.  For Wolves of Marcey St, every game is a critical opportunity for them to gather wins early on. This week Wolves of Marcey St will battle NetSuite (1-1-0).   For Tigers next up is a date against Son of a Butcher (0-2-0) as they look to come back from this one.

 

2 and 20 (1-0-1) v. Any Given Wednesday (0-2) – Wednesday, October 10, and 2018

2 and 20 and Any Given Wednesday played in a close one. The final score of 17-12 reflects the hard work 2 and 20 put into every minute of the game. They really stepped up in this one, beating their opening game point total. QB Leamam O’Conner threw one TD, which was caught by Thomas Sullivan. Despite losing, Any Given Wednesday gave everything they had on in terms of scoring, exceeding their total from their opening contest. For Any Given Wednesday, QB Ian hit David Head for one touchdown and scampered in for one.  This week 2 and 20 will take on River Shannons (2-1-0), as they go for another W.   As for Any Given Wednesday next up is a contest with 2 Star Recruits (1-1-0) as they look to bounce back.
