Jimmy Saville’s U10s didn’t have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this game, and came short of making it onto the scoreboard. Bend It Like Bote had two games this week. Heading into this quarter-final game, FC Chell were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 7 goals last week. They were the #3 seed facing the #6 seed, Chicago Cougars. With their higher rank and momentum from last week, FC Chell went into this game thinking they would be going on to semi-finals. With a final score of 3-2, Chicago Cougars grabbed this W. Guillermo leads Chicago Cougars this season in scoring and added 2 goals to their stats this week bringing Guillermo ‘s personal total to 6. The 4th place vs 5th place game is always one of the most exciting matches of the playoff bracket. With a final score of 2-1, Bain Ballers grabbed this W. These teams had similar season records and nearly matched in total goals scored, 14 for Bain Ballers, and 19 for Man Chest Hair City. The last time these two teams met in week 6, Man Chest Hair City won 4-2. Man Chest Hair City really didn’t have their best stuff on offense in this game, scoring fewer than their average of 2.4 goals per game for the season. Andy scored the only goal for Man Chest Hair City to get their team on the board. Man Chest Hair City’s loss means they are done in this single-elimination playoff schedule. In the win, Mark Mackenzie and Rohanjit Chaudhry both scored in this playoff win for Bain Ballers, putting one shot each past the Man Chest Hair City goalkeeper, Adam F. Bain Ballers (3-3-1) vs. Squad Goals (7-1-1) – Saturday, November 3, and 2018

Bain Ballers were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 4 goals last week. However, they were the lower ranked #5 seed playing the #1 seed, Squad Goals. They would have to play their best if they wanted to advance to the next round. With a final score of 2-1 Bain Ballers came out on top! In the loss, Brian McGarvey scored the only goal for Squad Goals to get his team on the board. Squad Goals is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon. In the win for Bain Ballers, Mark Mackenzie kicked two goals past the Squad Goals goalkeeper, Aaron Meyer. The win for Bain Ballers advances them to the championship game where they’ll take on the #6 seed, Chicago Cougars.

 

Chicago Cougars (3-4-1) vs. Bend It Like Bote (3-4-1) – Saturday, November 3, and 2018

Chicago Cougars, the #6 seed, matched up against Bend It Like Bote, the #7 seed, in this Semi-final game. The last time these two teams met in week 2, Chicago Cougars won 2-1. No surprise here, the results were very similar this time. Chicago Cougars shut-out Bend It Like Bote 5-0. Bend It Like Bote struggled in this match and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. Bend It Like Bote had a good run this season but they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs. Chicago Cougars had a double header. This was the better played match, which helped them claim their #6 rank in the standings table. David Baz Cortes is the goalkeeper credited with the shutout for Chicago Cougars. Helping on the offense, Guillermo kicked two goals, and Kate, Mike, and Jose kicked one goal each in this playoff win for Chicago Cougars. The win for Chicago Cougars advances them to the championship game where they’ll take on the #5 seed, Bain Ballers.
