Winter 2019 Wednesday lake Street Men’s Soccer – Week 4

Finn’s Team (3-0) vs. INDY Team #3 (1-1-1) – Wednesday, February 27, 2019

In this match the teams competed in an absolute shoot-out, totaling 20 goals.  Despite INDY Team #3’s impressive 7 goals, Finn’s Team got the win with an impressive 13 goals.  This is INDY Team #3’s first loss of the season.  INDY Team #3 still had notable players including Patrick Dwyer who put in four goals while Jaime Manriquez, Nandakumar Bakthisaran, Daniele Rosso each added one of their own.  Akuna Capital (0-3-0) are next up on the calendar for INDY Team #3, as they try to bounce back.  Finn’s Team is on fire! Ankush Rakhit and Sameer Dhavalikar each scored four goals and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet while while Finnian Bunta and Charles each added two and Seton Trostle added one. Finn’s Team will try to stay unbeaten next week with a contest against IGFC (1-1-1).

IGFC (1-1-1) vs. Akuna Capital (0-3) – Wednesday, February 27, 2019

Both teams entered this match looking for their first win of the season. With a final score of 6-3, IGFC emerged victorious against Akuna Capital.  IGFC are playing a fantastic offensive season. They’re averaging 7 goals per game.  Hector, Ross each kicked two goals to steer the club’s offense while Rory and Alex each added one.  The undefeated Finn’s Team (3-0-0) are next up on the docket for IGFC, as they look to keep it going.  Akuna Capital really didn’t have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 4.0 goals per game this season. Akuna Capital still had notable players including Simon Gee, who netted two goals and Nathaniel Rub who netted one for Akuna Capital.  On Wednesday, Akuna Capital will attempt to bounce back with a match-up against INDY Team #3 (1-1-1).
