Winter 2019 Wednesday CIBC Fire Pitch Men’s Int Football – Week 8

The Star-Nosed Moles (7-1) v. INDY Team #7 (4-4) – Wednesday, March 27, and 2019

Star-Nosed Moles were the higher ranked #1 seed playing the #4 seed, INDY Team #7. They confidently took the win to advance to the Championship Game with a final score of 42-20.  The Star-Nosed Moles are the highest-scoring team in the league this season, averaging 49.0 points per game.  QB John Doran delivered seven scores, hitting Ryan Barry for three of them, Patrick Pierret for two and kevin Epp and Drew B each for one.  During the loss for INDY Team #7, QB Jake W hit Najee Gregory and Alex each for one touchdown and scampered in for one. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise The Star-Nosed Moles advanced to the Championship game.  Read the recap below to find out how they did. Dimons & Ducks (7-1) v. Checkdowners (6-2) – Wednesday, March 27, and 2019

Dimons & Ducks, took on the #3 seed, Checkdowners. With a final score of 30-18, Dimons & Ducks earned their sixth-straight win.  This team, Dimons & Ducks, really fought for this one, winning, despite scoring less than their avg. ppg of 36.80.  QB Ian Good threw three TDs, passing to Thomas Kutschke for one of them and rushed for one more.   For Checkdowners, QB Daniel Knisley hit West for one touchdown and rushed for two more. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Dimons & Ducks advanced to the Championship game.  Read the recap below to find out how they did. Dimons & Ducks (7-1) v. The Star-Nosed Moles (7-1) – Wednesday, March 27, and 2019

In this Championship Game Dimons & Ducks played The Star-Nosed Moles, for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory.  With a final score of 46-8, Dimons & Ducks got their sixth-straight win.  Dimons & Ducks brought their A game, beating their average of 36.80 ppg.  QB Ian Good passed six TDs, passing to Thomas Kutschke for one of them and ran for one with his legs.  For The Star-Nosed Moles, QB John Doran hit Ryan Barry for one touchdown.  Congratulations to Dimons & Ducks on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. Being one of the top two teams, The Star-Nosed Moles was optimistic heading into the championship match, so this loss is a tough one. But they definitely have what it takes to win and we expect to see them doing well again next season.
