Headers & Shoulders 2 (3-2-1) vs. Chicago Veterans (0-6) – Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Headers & Shoulders 2 beat Chicago Veterans 4-2 in this week’s match.  Nick Watson netted two goals to steer the group’s offense while Jack McCormick and Zach Liebman each scored one.  Chicago Veterans really did everything they could on the defensive end in spite of the loss, giving up fewer than their average of 5.7 goals against per game this year. They still had notable players including Rafael Torres and Ricky, who each netted one goal for Chicago Veterans.  Headers & Shoulders 2 finished the regular season in 5th place.  Chicago Veterans finished as the 12th place seed.

 

Velvet Taquitos (4-2) vs. Daddy FC (2-4) – Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Velvet Taquitos beat Daddy FC 4-1 in this week’s match.  Velvet Taquitos are playing a fantastic offensive season.  They’re averaging 4 goals per game.  Gurdeep Nagi fired two goals to help earn the club the win. Liz Sharkey and Nick Stuedemann each netted one goal to help with the offense.  Velvet Taquitos finished the regular season in 4th place.  Andrew scored the only goal for Daddy FC to get their team on the board and to avoid the shutout. This loss for Daddy FC pushes them down to the #8 seed.

 

Kick in a Box (1-3-2) vs. Clark Construction (1-4-1) – Tuesday, March 12, 2019

In a nail-biter for movement in the standings table at the end of the season, Kick in a Box and Clark Construction finished with a draw of 0-0 to earn just 1 point each.  Kick in a Box finished the regular season in 8th place.

 

LPSE (5-0-1) vs. ESPN The Ocho (5-1) – Tuesday, March 12, 2019

LPSE and ESPN The Ocho had a nail-biter up to the last minute with a final score of 3-2.  This is ESPN The Ocho’s first loss of the season.  Matt Allain was the star player for ESPN The Ocho this week.  He scored all two goals for his team.  This is the second week in a row LPSE took home the win.  Sharief El-Gabri, Ariana Gonzalez and Antonio DeSario each lasered in one goal to help gain the team the W.  Despite the loss this week, ESPN The Ocho locked in their spot at the #3 seed.  LPSE finished the regular season in 2nd place.

 

Blue Guys (6-0) vs. Look Ma No Hands FC (1-4-1) – Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Blue Guys and Look Ma No Hands FC competed in a low scoring affair, combining for three goals.  Blue Guys took home the 2-1 victory.  Look Ma No Hands FC really struggled to get it going in this game, scoring less than their average of 1.3 goals per game for the season.  Viki scored the only goal for Look Ma No Hands FC to save them from a shutout.   Look Ma No Hands FC finished as the 10th place seed. Blue Guys are having an astounding offensive season. They’re averaging 4 goals per game.  Kathryn Hermanas kicked two goals and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet and Charles Ishola added one of his own.  Blue Guys finished the regular season in 1st place.

Beercelona (2-3-1) vs. INDY Team #8 (2-3-1) – Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Beercelona and INDY Team #8 were extremely evenly matched in this Game and ended all tied up at 1-1. This is INDY Team #8’s first tie this season and they’re currently sitting in sixth place in the standings. Kevin Gaffney was the star player for INDY Team #8 this week scoring the only goal for them.  Connor Welby scored the team’s only goal, keeping their team on the board.
