ESPN The Ocho (5-0) vs. INDY Team #8 (2-3) – Tuesday, March 05, 2019

ESPN The Ocho played well here and blanked INDY Team #8 with a final score of 2-0.  INDY Team #8 struggled to get it going in terms of scoring in this game, but they’ve had 9 overall goals this season. ESPN The Ocho have a lot of scoring power.  They’re averaging 3 goals per game.  Emily Saliterman and Ben Rosenkranz each had one goal to help get the team the W.  The defenders did a great job in this game by helping Brad Sherrill earn a clean sheet.  Next up for INDY Team #8 is a match-up versus Beercelona (2-3-0), as they look to get back into the winner’s circle.  ESPN The Ocho will attempt to remain unblemished next week with a battle versus LPSE (4-0-1).

 

Blue Guys (5-0) vs. Headers & Shoulders 2 (2-2-1) – Tuesday, March 05, 2019

Blue Guys beat Headers & Shoulders 2 4-2 in this game. Blue Guys are playing a fantastic offensive season. They’re averaging 5 goals per game. Meagan Reitz kicked two goals to guide the squad’s attack while Cory Zielke and Charles Ishola each added one.  Headers & Shoulders 2 didn’t have their best showing on defense in this game, giving up more goals than their average of 2.6 goals against per game for the season. The losing team still had notable players including Jack Mccormick and Andrew Merrill, who each kicked one goal for Headers & Shoulders 2.  Next week, Blue Guys take on Look Ma No Hands FC (1-3-1) in an attempt to stay unbeaten.   Chicago Veterans (0-5-0) is next up on the calendar for Headers & Shoulders 2, as they try to bounce back.

 

LPSE (4-0-1) vs. Velvet Taquitos (3-2) – Tuesday, March 05, 2019

In this match, LPSE beat Velvet Taquitos 5-1. In spite of the loss, Velvet Taquitos has been doing great on offense so far, with a total of 22 goals.  Nick Stuedemann scored the only goal for Velvet Taquitos to get their team on the board.  Daddy FC (2-3-0) are next up on the calendar for Velvet Taquitos, as they attempt to rebound.  LPSE have had a strong offense so far this season. They’re averaging 3 goals per game.  Sharief El-Gabri kicked two goals to guide the team’s attack while Embibel Gebre, Antonio DeSario, and Jake Nardulli each netted one goal.  Next week, LPSE faces off against the undefeated ESPN The Ocho (5-0-0) in an attempt to remain perfect.

 

Kick in a Box (1-3-1) vs. Look Ma No Hands FC (1-3-1) – Tuesday, March 05, 2019

Kick in a Box vs. Look Ma No Hands FC battled head to Head this Tuesday and were evenly matched. Neither team was giving up any ground to the other as this game ended with a final score of 0-0.  Setting a record for the Look Ma No Hands FC, this was their best defensive game of the season.  For Look Ma No Hands FC next on the schedule is Blue Guys (5-0-0).  Exiting week 5, Kick in a Box looks ahead to Clark Construction (1-4-0) who are next on the schedule.

 

Beercelona (2-3) vs. Chicago Veterans (0-5) – Tuesday, March 05, 2019

In this match, Beercelona beat Chicago Veterans 8-1. Chicago Veterans really didn’t have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 1.6 goals per game for the year. Jamie Morris scored the only goal for Chicago Veterans to get their team on the board and to avoid the shutout.  Chicago Veterans seeks to break their winless streak next Tuesday against Headers & Shoulders 2 (2-2-1). Beercelona are heating up with two wins in a row. Connor Welby racked up a hat trick with help from Clint who had two goals while Nick Braund, Neil Wright, and Andres Arias each added one to get the squad the win.  Next up for Beercelona is a battle against INDY Team #8 (2-3-0).

 

Daddy FC (2-3) vs. Clark Construction (1-4) – Tuesday, March 05, 2019

Clark Construction forfeited and handed a free win to Daddy FC for this game.  Kick in a Box (1-3-1) is next up on the docket for Clark Construction, as they attempt to rebound.  Velvet Taquitos (3-2-0) are next up on the schedule for Daddy FC, as they look to keep it going.
