Winter 2019 Sunday CIBC Fire Pitch Men’s Soccer – Week 5

Free Smoke FC couldn’t pull together enough players for this game and had to forfeit to The Wombats. The Wombats seems to have found their groove and has won two games in a row.  The forfeit puts Free Smoke FC in fourth place in the standings table.  FC MD UNITED (4-0-1) are next up on the calendar for The Wombats, as they look to keep it going.   Next week, Free Smoke FC seeks to get their first win against INDY Team #4 (1-3-1).

FC MD UNITED (4-0-1) vs. INDY Team #4 (1-3-1) – Sunday, March 10, 2019

Earlier in the season, these teams tied, but FC MD UNITED grabbed a 7-2 win against INDY Team #4 in this rematch.  INDY Team #4 really struggled to stop anything in terms of defense in this game, surrendering more goals than their average of 3.2 goals against per game this season. INDY Team #4 still had notable players including Lukas Keapproth and Oliver Hayes, who each kicked one goal for INDY Team #4.  FC MD UNITED continued their winning streak this week and are officially on fire. Leonid C is on fire and contributed 4 goals to steer the club’s offense. Radu, Charles I, and Roman R also contributed to the team’s final score adding one goal each.  Next up for INDY Team #4 is a match-up versus Free Smoke FC (0-5-0), as they try to bounce back.  FC MD UNITED will try to stay undefeated on Sunday with a battle against The Wombats (4-1-0).
