Winter 2019 Sunday CIBC Fire Pitch Flag Football – Week 7

VicTorious Secret (3-4) v. Henny Gang (2-3-2) – Sunday, March 24, and 2019

It was an exciting Semi-final match, in which the #2 seed, VicTorious Secret, just barely locked in the win with a 4-point margin against the #3 seed, Henny Gang.  By the score of 46-42, VicTorious Secret got a tight win.  VicTorious Secret are the highest-scoring team in the league this season, averaging 45.4 points per game.  QB Joe Gill threw four TDs, hitting Ibrahim Jacobs for two of them and ran for one more.  Henny Gang really gave it their all in this one even though they lost, topping their average of 30.40 points per game for the year.  In the loss for Henny Gang, QB Jamel Banks hit Kc Davis for one touchdown and rushed for one more.  The semi-final win for VicTorious Secret advanced them to the championship game. Henny Gang is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon.

Drip 4 Sale (5-0-2) v. Bless’ Em (1-4-2) – Sunday, March 24, and 2019

It was an exciting Semi-final match, in which the #1 seed, Drip 4 Sale, just barely locked in the win with a 2-point margin against the #4 seed, Bless’ Em.  The final score of 30-28 reflects the hard work Drip 4 Sale put into every minute of the game.  This team, Drip 4 Sale, really buckled down in this one, winning, despite scoring less than their average points per game of 36.10.  QB Ashley Marshall threw three touchdowns, with Brandon Parker on the receiving end of most of them.  During the loss for Bless’ Em, QB Devante Williams hit Marcel Poindexter for two touchdowns. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Drip 4 Sale advanced to the Championship game. Bless’ Em is done with playoffs, which means it’s time for a team meeting at the bar to regroup for next season.
