Winter 2019 Sunday CIBC Fire Pitch Coed Flag Football – Week 8

VicTorious Secret (4-4) v. Drip 4 Sale (5-1-2) – Sunday, March 31, and 2019

It was a Championship Game written for the movies. Could the #2 seeded team, VicTorious Secret outplay the #1 seeded team, Drip 4 Sale?  In this game, yes they could!  VicTorious Secret put 48 on the board and held Drip 4 Sale to 42 points.  VicTorious Secret are the highest-scoring team in the league, averaging 45.8 points per game.  QB Joe Gill threw five TDs, passing to Victor Le for two of them and rushed for one with his legs.  Drip 4 Sale really played their A game on offense in this game despite the loss, exceeding their average of 36.90 points per game this season.  In the loss for Drip 4 Sale, QB Ashley Marshall hit Janice for two touchdowns.  Congratulations to VicTorious Secret on a great season and their championship win!  We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.  Being one of the top two teams, Drip 4 Sale was optimistic heading into the championship match, so this loss is a tough one. But they definitely have what it takes to win and we expect to see them doing well again next season.
