Winter 2019 Saturday CIBC Fire Pitch Flag Football – Week 7

Savages (6-1) v. Chi Town BlitZ (0-7) – Saturday, March 30, and 2019

No one expected this Semi-Final games to be such a close one.  Savages, the #1 seed barely squeaked by in this 1-touchdown game to beat the #5 seed, Chi Town BlitZ ending the game with a score of of 34-28. By the score of 34-28, Savages got a victory to get their seventh-straight win.  This team really brought their A game on D in this one, beating their season points against average of 31.9 ppg.   QB Jorge Sierra threw five touchdowns, passing to Jessica Harris for three of them.  In the loss for Chi Town BlitZ, QB Dino Vazquez hit Steven Drake for two touchdowns and rushed for two more. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Savages advanced to the Championship game. Read the recap below to find out how they did. Return to Tot Mountain (5-2) v. Kiss My EndZone (3-4) – Saturday, March 30, and 2019

In this Semi-Final game, the #3 seed, Return to Tot Mountain, took on the #4 seed, Kiss My EndZone. By the score of 34-25, Return to Tot Mountain got a respectable W.  These guys, Return to Tot Mountain, showed some fight in this one, winning, despite scoring less than their avg. points per game of 41.00. QB Blake Hammond delivered four TDs, passing to Alfreda Delle for one of them and ran for one more.  During the loss for Kiss My EndZone, QB Luke hit Tom Larson for two touchdowns.  The semi-final win for Return to Tot Mountain advanced them to the championship game. In this suspenseful Championship Game, the #1 team, Savages played the #3 team, Return to Tot Mountain, for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory.  The final score of 30-28 Savages defeated Return to Tot Mountain and the score reflects the hard work Savages put into every minute of the game.  They brought their A game on D in this one, beating their season points against average of 31.9 points per game.  QB Jorge Sierra delivered five touchdowns, hitting Jessica Harris for three of them.  During the loss, QB Blake Hammond hit Alfreda Delle for one touchdown and rushed for one more.  Congratulations to Savages on a great season and their championship win!  We hope to see this squad return to defend their title. Losing the championship game is never easy but Return to Tot Mountain lost with grace. We hope to see them back next season for another chance at the title.
