Cat Facts FC (3-5-1) vs. Squad Goals (3-4-1) – Saturday, March 30, 2019
It was an exciting Quarter-Final matches, in which the #6 seed, Cat Facts FC, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #5 seed, Squad Goals with a final score of 3-2. Squad Goals still had notable players including Paul Sanderude and Adam, who each kicked one goal for. Squad Goals is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon. Kelly Stapleton, Maddie Stupinski and Kevin Rademaker all tallied a goal in this one for Cat Facts FC. This win advanced Cat Facts FC to semi-finals. The exciting recap of that game is below.
CTAX F.C. (4-4-2) vs. Cat Facts FC (3-5-1) – Saturday, March 30, 2019
It was an exciting Semi-Final games, in which the #4 seed, CTAX F.C., squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #6 seed, Cat Facts FC with a final score of 2-1. Cat Facts FC had two games this week. The game could have gone either way. Kelly Stapleton scored the only goal for Cat Facts FC to save them from a shutout. Brynne Frau and David Gimpel each scored in this exciting win for CTAX F.C. which advanced them to the championship game. Read the Championship recap below to see how they finished. Jimmy Savile’s U10s (7-0-1) vs. Chicago Cougars (3-2-3) – Saturday, March 30, 2019
It was an exciting Semi-Final matches, in which the #1 seed, Jimmy Savile’s U10s, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #3 seed, Chicago Cougars with a final score of 2-1. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Jimmy Savile’s U10s advanced to the Championship game. Willie and James each scored in this thrilling win. Read the recap below to find out how they did. In spite of the loss, Chicago Cougars has been doing great on offense so far, with a total of 21 goals. Huralt scored the only goal for Chicago Cougars to save them from a shutout. Chicago Cougars had a great run this season but they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs.
Jimmy Savile’s U10s (7-0-1) vs. CTAX F.C. (4-4-2) – Saturday, March 30, 2019
In this exciting Championship Game, the #1 team, Jimmy Savile’s U10s played the #4 team, CTAX F.C., for the coveted Chicago Sport and Social Club long-sleeve champ shirts to forever capture their moment of glory. With a final score of 2-1 Jimmy Savile’s U10s defeated CTAX F.C. This was one of two games for CTAX F.C.. If they had only this game, it might have been a different result, but instead they ended up widening their goal differential gap to 87. David Gimpel scored the only goal for CTAX F.C. to get their team on the board. CTAX F.C. came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table. Congratulations to Jimmy Savile’s U10s on a great season and their championship win! James and Tara each scored a goal in this great win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.
