Winter 2019 CIBC Fire Pitch Men’s Soccer – Week 7

Team Nutmeggers (6-0-1) vs. INDY Team #2 (1-6) – Monday, March 18, 2019

Team Nutmeggers was the higher ranked #1 seed playing the #4 seed, INDY Team #2.  They confidently took the win of a score of 6-2 to advance to the Championship Game.  INDY Team #2 really struggled to stop anything in terms of defense in this game, surrendering more goals than their average of 4.4 goals against per game for the year.  Troy Bentz was the star player for INDY Team #2 this week scoring all two goals for their team.  INDY Team #2 had a tough run this season and they will not be advancing to the next round of playoffs.  Team Nutmeggers are heating up with two wins in a row.  Ian and Jarod each scored twice while Felipe Torres and Ben Galvez each scored once in this playoff win for Team Nutmeggers. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Team Nutmeggers advanced to the Championship game.

AC A Little Silhouetto of Milan (3-4) vs. Cacatuas FC (3-3-1) – Monday, March 18, 2019

The #2 seed, Cacatuas FC, forfeited to the #3 seed, AC A Little Silhouetto of Milan in this Semi-Final game.  Despite forfeiting the match, Cacatuas FC remain at the top of the standings table in second place. The semi-final win for AC A Little Silhouetto of Milan advanced them to the championship game.
