Chicago Steelers (6-0-1) v. We Have Fun (3-2-2) – Wednesday, August 19, and 2020

Earning the same result as they did earlier this season, Chicago Steelers won the rematch between these two clubs. This time by the final the score of 27-21. Chicago Steelers got a win to maintain a zero in the loss column and clinch the overall #1 seed heading into the postseason.  Chicago Steelers are the highest-scoring team in the league during the regular the season, averaging 27.9 ppg. QB Zach Broujos passed for three touchdowns, finding Myles Anthony for one of them while also rushing in one on his own. Zach Broujos leads the league in total touchdowns (22), including a league-high 17 passing TDs. Despite losing, We Have Fun gave it their all, topping their average of 18.7 points per game this year. During the loss for We Have Fun, QB Luis Rivera hit Jake Poliszczuk for one touchdown and ran into the end zone for one more. On Wednesday, Chicago Steelers will try to make it into the Championship game if they can beat the winner of #4 69ers (2-3-2) vs. #5 Team Name (1-5) in their semifinals match. The loss dropped We Have Fun into the #3 seed and will now have to face #6 Old and Slow (1-6) in the quarterfinals match coming up on Wednesday night.  Winner of this game advances into the semifinals match against #2 seeded Terry Hoffs (5-1-1).

 

69ers (2-3-2) v. Team Name (1-5) – Wednesday, August 19, and 2020

69ers destroyed Team Name on Wednesday night. With a final score of 38-6, 69ers hope to keep their winning momentum going as they advance into the playoffs.  They really brought it on the defensive end in this one, beating their season points against average of 15.0 points per game. QB Michael Donato threw three TDs, passing to Erik Gleaves for two of them and ran for two with his legs. The five total touchdowns brings his season total to 12, tied for second place in the league. Team Name really did not have their best stuff in this game, scoring less than their average of 17.7 points per game for the season. In the loss for Team Name, QB Kyle Stearns hit Tim Hubner for their only score of the game. The two victories on Wednesday night moved 69ers into the #4 seed heading into the postseason and will now give them a rematch against #5 Team Name (1-5) on Wednesday night in their quarterfinal matchup. The loss for Team Name dropped them into the #5 seed heading into the postseason on Wednesday night and gets them a rematch with #4 69ers (2-3-2) in their quarterfinal matchup.  Winner of this game moves on to play #1 seeded Chicago Steelers in the semifinal match.

 

Terry Hoffs (5-1-1) v. Old and Slow (1-6) – Wednesday, August 19, and 2020

Just like earlier in the season, Terry Hoffs won the rematch between these two Teams. By the score of 21-18, Terry Hoffs got a hard-fought W.  They really battled hard for this one, earning the W despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 14.0 ppg. QB Timothy Hanrahan passed three TDs, finding John Huguelet for two of them. This crucial victory locked Terry Hoofs into the #2 seed heading into the postseason coming up on Wednesday night. Old and Slow really played their A game on in terms of scoring even though they lost, beating their average of 13.60 points per game for the season. During the loss, QB Matthew Robinson hit Keith Gallagher for two touchdowns. On Wednesday, Terry Hoffs will try to make it into the Championship game if they can beat the winner of #3 We Have Fun (3-2-2) vs. #6 Old and Slow (1-6) in their semifinals match. The loss dropped Old and Slow into the #6 seed and will now have to face #3 We Have Fun (3-2-2) in the quarterfinals match coming up on Wednesday night.  Winner of this game advances into the semifinals match against #2 seeded Terry Hoffs (5-1-1).
