Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s 7v7 Flag Football League Recap – Week 1

Chicago Steelers (1-0) v. Da Beers (0-1) – Wednesday, September 16, and 2020

Chicago Steelers put 27 on the board and held Da Beers to 6 points on opening night of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT 7v7 Flag Football League.  If Chicago Steelers keep this up, do not be surprised if they keep earning more wins, as these guys are the highest-scoring team in the league through week one. QB Zach Broujos passed three TDs, hitting Vin for two of them. Despite losing, Da Beers has tons of time to get better on the offensive side of the ball. During this Week 1 loss, QB Ghanshyam Patel hit Rajul Patel for their only score of the game.  Chicago Steelers will try to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. Money Team (1-0-0) are next on the docket for Chicago Steelers in a huge Week 2 matchup. As for Da Beers, they will move on to a showdown against Grand Theft Auto (0-1-0) in Week 2 as they attempt to get into the win column.

legion of boom capitalized on turnovers and special teams to capture a 24-14 win over Grand Theft Auto on opening night of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT 7v7 Flag Football League. The final score of 24-14 reflects the hard work legion of boom put into every minute of the game. QB Shafiq Said accounted for all four of his squads scores on opening night, throwing for three touchdowns, and rushing one in for a score. Adam Elmosa was on the receiving end of two of those TD passes. The season is still young, and Grand Theft Auto has plenty of opportunities to go back to the drawing board on the offensive end. For Grand Theft Auto, in the loss, QB Carlos Curry hit Ryan Porter and Alex Moore for their only scores in this game. Exiting week 1, legion of boom will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. River Shannons (0-1-0) are next on the docket for legion of boom. As for Grand Theft Auto they will have a date against Da Beers (0-1-0) as they try to come back from this tough Week 1 defeat.

 

Money Team (1-0) v. River Shannons (0-1) – Wednesday, September 16, and 2020

Wednesday night lights. Opening night. Familiar opponent. Money Team was more than ready for prime time – even QB Andrew Hauser. QB Andrew Hauser led an opportunistic Money Team offense with one Passing TD, one Rushing TD and a Defensive TD, and Money Team cruised past River Shannons by a final score of 25-0 on opening night of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT 7v7 Flag Football League. River Shannons may want to turn things around on offense to get rolling, as these guys are the lowest-scoring team in the league through Week 1. Exiting week 1, Money Team will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. This week Money Team will take on Chicago Steelers (1-0-0). For River Shannons they will move on to a game against legion of boom (1-0-0) as they strive to bounce back from this lopsided Week 1 defeat.
