Letz Werk football team held nothing back on opening night of the Fall 2020 Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football League in its dominating 42-0 victory over Don’t Touchdown There. If Letz Werk keep this up, do not be surprised if they keep racking up the wins, as these guys are the early leaders in total scoring. QB Damon Clark was magnificent in this contest, delivering six touchdowns, passing to Monet Mailey for two of them. The Letz Werk defense stood strong as well in this game, shutting out Don’t Touchdown There. Exiting week 1, Letz Werk will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. Lime Cats (0-1-0) are next on the docket for them. Don’t Touchdown There struggled on both ends of the field in this opening night contest. Don’t Touchdown There are the lowest-scoring team in the league early on for the season as they were shutout in this game. For Don’t Touchdown There next up is a pairing against Chicago Beers (0-1-0) as they look to shake off this disappointing opening night loss and get into the win column.

 

Sudden Impact (1-0) v. Lime Cats (0-1) – Wednesday, September 16, and 2020

Sudden Impact scored 21 points on opening night of the Fall 2020 Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football League to beat Lime Cats by a final score of 21-0. QB Blake Hammond provided all the offense for Sudden Impact in this contest, passing for two TDs while also scampering in one with his legs. Megan Majors and Chelsey Hall were on the receiving end of the two TD passes from QB Blake Hammond. It was a perfect start to the Sudden Impact season. For Sudden Impact, each contest is a crucial opportunity to get in a groove from the jump and continue building on this winning momentum. WAWG (1-0-0) are next on the calendar for Sudden Impact. Lime Cats are tied for the lowest-scoring team in the league early in the season as they failed to score a point on opening night. For Lime Cats, next on the calendar is Letz Werk (1-0-0) as they look to bounce back from this lopsided defeat.

 

WAWG (1-0) v. KaBoom! (0-1) – Wednesday, September 16, and 2020

On a gorgeous opening night, WAWG got off to a great start to their Fall 2020 Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football League, dominating KaBoom! by a final score of 28-6. QB Andre Locke was spectacular in this contest, delivering four TD strikes to four different receivers. It was a good opening night win against a very solid team. The fact that they closed the deal is (hopefully) a sign of progress.  WAWG will try to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. This week WAWG will go toe to toe with Sudden Impact (1-0-0). Big game coming up. Despite the loss, KaBoom! has significant amounts of opportunities to go back to the drawing board on the offensive side of the ball. During the loss, QB Shaun Himmerick hit Darquil Brown for their only score of the game. For KaBoom!, next on the calendar is INDY Team #10 (0-0-0) as they try to get into the win column and shake off this opening night loss.

 

TD Train (1-0) v. Chicago Beers (0-1) – Wednesday, September 16, and 2020

TD Train toppled Chicago Beers, 32-14, on opening night of the Fall 2020 Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football League. Bolstered by a strong defensive performance and four total TDs (two passing and two rushing) by QB Brett Edlbeck, TD Train made a strong statement to the entire league in week 1. For TD Train, each contest is a critical opportunity to grab wins early on. Next up is a throwdown against Loaded (0-0-0) with an opportunity to get to 2-0. It is only week one, and Chicago Beers has plenty of weeks to go back to the drawing board on both ends of the ball. During the loss, QB Nathan Albertini hit Liam Gorman for their only two scores of the game. For Chicago Beers next on the schedule is Don’t Touchdown There (0-1-0) as they look to bounce back and notch their first W of the season.
