Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Flag Football League Recap! – Week 4

Lime Cats (3-1) v. KaBoom! (1-3) – Wednesday, October 7, and 2020

After losing their opening night game back on September 16th, Lime Cats have now ripped off three straight victories after cruising past KaBoom! in Week 4 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC Flag Football League. The Lime Cats certainly now have their eyes on the prize. Lime Cats really showed up in this game, exceeding their average of 21.30 points per game. QB Tomas Ross spread the ball around all game long and delivered three TD passes, connecting with three different players for the scores. Next up for Lime Cats coming up in Week 5 is a showdown against Loaded (2-1-0) as both teams look to continue their rise up the standings board. KaBoom! were unable to get rolling in terms of scoring in this one as they were facing the #1 ranked D in the League in terms of PAPG, and ended up putting up less than their average of 13.50 points per game this season. For KaBoom!, QB Shaun Himmerick hit Lonnie Buggs for their only score in this game. Chicago Beers (1-3-0) are next up on the schedule for KaBoom!, as they look to snap their two-game losing streak.

 

Loaded (2-1) v. Sudden Impact (3-1) – Wednesday, October 7, and 2020

Sudden Impact are no strangers to playing in and winning close games as two of their first three wins this season have come by six points or less. The same could be said for their Week 4 opponents Loaded. As expected, Loaded and Sudden Impact participated in a nail-biter. With a final score of 13-12, Loaded came away with the huge Week 4 victory. This team, Loaded, really showed some grit in this one, winning, despite scoring less than their avg. points per game of 15.00. QB Troy Boyd Jr delivered a nice TD strike and Lamar Dawson came away with a crucial Defensive TD to seal the victory. Lime Cats (3-1-0) are next up on the schedule for Loaded, as they look to record their third straight victory. Sudden Impact really struggled to get it going in terms of scoring in this game, scoring less than their average of 20.00 ppg this year. In the loss for Sudden Impact, QB Blake Hammond tossed two more TD passes to bring his season total up to 9. Next up for Sudden Impact is another huge showdown against TD Train (4-0-0) coming up in Week 5, as they look to rebound from this tough defeat.

 

WAWG (2-2) v. INDY Team #10 (0-3) – Wednesday, October 7, and 2020

WAWG came into their Week 4 match-up with INDY Team #10 on a two-game losing streak, but they made sure two did not become three as WAWG blew past INDY Team #10 by a final score of 62-0. WAWG are now the highest-scoring team in the league for the season through the first four weeks, averaging 29.0 ppg. QB Keith Lewis was on fire for WAWG on Wednesday night as he threw five touchdown passes to lead their squad to this important Week 4 blowout victory. Don’t Touchdown There (1-3-0) are next up on the schedule for WAWG, as they look to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season. INDY Team #10 will want to forget about this contest quickly as they were unable to get rolling in this game, scoring less than their average of 9.00 points per game this year. TD Train (4-0) v. Don’t Touchdown There (1-3) – Wednesday, October 7, and 2020

TD Train came into their Week 4 match-up of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF League as favorites and they took care of business with a huge 38-0 win over against Don’t Touchdown There. TD Train brought their A game in this one, beating their average of 25.80 points per game. QB Brett Edlbeck was amazing for TD Train in this contest as they delivered six total touchdowns (five passing and one rushing). QB Brett Edlebeck found Samuel Grzywacz three times in the end zone while also connecting with Seth Hollinden and Joe F. for the other two. Coming up in Week 5, TD Train has a huge battle against Sudden Impact (3-1-0) with first place in the league standings on the line. Don’t Touchdown There really didn’t have their best stuff in this one, scoring less than their average of 10.80 ppg this season. Next up for Don’t Touchdown There is a showdown against WAWG (2-2-0) coming up in Week 5, as they attempt to snap their two-game losing streak.

 

Letz Werk (2-2) v. Chicago Beers (1-3) – Wednesday, October 7, and 2020

QB Damon Clark played just about as good of a game as anyone could have asked for as they helped lead Letz Werk to a 26-13 win over Chicago Beers in Week 4 of the Wednesday Lincoln Park TURF Coed RE Flag Football League. QB Damon Clark delivered four scores for Letz Werk, finding Carlton Rosemond for three of them. The final score of 26-13 reflects the hard work Letz Werk put into every minute of the game. This team also showed up on D in this one, beating their season points against average of 16.5 points per game. Coming up in Week 5, Letz Werk will take the field against INDY Team #10 (0-3-0) as they look to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season. Chicago Beers really struggled to get it going in terms of scoring in this game, scoring less than their average of 15.00 points per game for the year. For Chicago Beers, in the loss, QB Nathan Albertini hit Chris Champion for one touchdown. KaBoom!
