Tuesday Wells High School Coed REC 7v7 Outdoor Soccer League Recap – Week 5

Unathletico (2-3-1) vs. Kenosha Kickers (1-4) – Tuesday, October 20, 2020

Unathletico snatched their second win of the season with a 3-2 nail-biting victory over Kenosha Kickers in Week 5 of the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League. This week, Unathletico came ready for a double header. This was the better played match of the two, which helped them claim their #4 rank in the league standings table. Samuel Doro, Robin Tkacz and Eric Solnin each scored one goal apiece to help earn the team the W. Unathletico could not celebrate this victory for too long however as they needed to step right back onto the pitch and take on INDY Team #3 (1-4-1). More on this game below. Kenosha Kickers really gave it their all on defense despite the loss, allowing less than their average of 4.0 GAPG for the year. The losing team still had notable players including Max Hausmann, who scored one goal for Kenosha Kickers. Next up for Kenosha Kickers is a match-up versus H-Tizzy (3-2-0) coming up in Week 6, as they look to rebound from this defeat and end their regular season schedule on a positive note.

 

INDY Team #3 (1-4-1) vs. Unathletico (2-3-1) – Tuesday, October 20, 2020

INDY Team #3 and Unathletico each recorded their first tie of the season as they battled to a 2-2 draw in Week 5 of the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League. Jay Gonzalez lasered in both goals for INDY Team #3 in this contest, saving their team from defeat. Exiting week 5, INDY Team #3 will look ahead to F.C. Rogues (5-0-0) coming up in Week 6 as they look to close out their regular season schedule on a high note. This was one of two games for Unathletico in Week 5. They recorded a crucial win in the game prior and walked away with a solid tie in this contest to give them 4 full points on the night. In the tie, Samuel Doro and Matthew each fired in one goal apiece for Unathletico to help them secure this crucial point. For Unathletico they will face off with West Grand United (1-5-0) coming up in Week 6 as they look to move up into the #3 seed prior to the postseason beginning.

 

F.C. Rogues (5-0) vs. H-Tizzy (3-2) – Tuesday, October 20, 2020

F.C. Rogues and H-Tizzy competed in a game where the defenses dominated, totaling only three goals. F.C. Rogues took home the huge 2-1 victory. Rogues have consistently shown they are an attacking team all season long. They are averaging 3.6 goals per game. Mario Urquiza and Ricardo Ponce each scored one goal apiece to help get the group the crucial Week 5 W. F.C. Rogues will seek to remain perfect and secure the overall #1 seed for the postseason coming up in Week 6 with a double header on their slate. They will first take the field to take on INDY Team #3 (1-4-1) before having to step right back onto the pitch to take on Pilsen Kidz (5-0). Big week coming up for F.C. Rogues. Despite the loss, H-Tizzy has been doing great on offense this season, with a total of 27 goals. Unfortunately for H-Tizzy, they ran into a tough F.C. Rogues defensive unit. Stephen scored the only goal for H-Tizzy to save them from a shutout in this contest. Kenosha Kickers (1-4-0) is next up on the calendar for H-Tizzy coming up in Week 6, as they look to secure the #3 overall seed for the postseason.

 

Pilsen Kidz (5-0) vs. West Grand United (1-5) – Tuesday, October 20, 2020

West Grand United forfeited and handed a free win to Pilsen Kidz in Week 5 of the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League as they did not have enough available players to field a legal team. Coming up in Week 6, Pilsen Kidz have a crucial battle against F.C. Rogues (5-0-0) in an attempt to secure the overall #1 seed heading into the postseason. Next up for West Grand United is a showdown against Unathletico (2-3-1) coming up in Week 6, as they attempt to bounce back from this defeat and gain some positive momentum prior to the postseason beginning.
