Tuesday Wells High School Coed REC 7v7 Outdoor Soccer League Recap – Week 2

F.C. Rogues (2-0) vs. West Grand United (0-2) – Tuesday, September 29, 2020

F.C. Rogues cruised past West Grand United 6-2 in Week 2 of the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League. West Grand United struggled to get it going on offense in this one, scoring less than their total from their Week 1 match. West Grand United still had notable players including Austin Hernandez and Tom Oneill, who tallied one goal apiece for West Grand United. For West Grand United they will move on to a showdown against H-Tizzy (1-0-0) as they look to come back from this one and record their first point(s) of the season. F.C. Rogues are heating up, winning both of their games so far this season. Norman Astudillo and Mario Urquiza each recorded a brace to lead the crew’s attack. For F.C. Rogues, every week is a crucial game to get cruising from the jump. This week F.C. Rogues will go toe to toe with Kenosha Kickers (0-2-0) as they try to record their third straight victory.

 

Pilsen Kidz (2-0) vs. Unathletico (1-1) – Tuesday, September 29, 2020

In this match, Pilsen Kidz demolished Unathletico by a final score of 13-3. Unathletico really did not have their best stuff in terms of scoring in this one, scoring less than their total from their opening contest. Luke Hagerty was the star player for Unathletico this week. They tallied a hat-trick and recorded all the goals for their team. As for Unathletico next on the calendar is H-Tizzy (1-0-0) as they attempt to bounce back from this lopsided defeat. Pilsen Kidz are heating up, winning both of their games so far this season and leading the league in total goals scored. Colby Newquist was unstoppable and tallied 4 goals to guide the team’s offense. Eric Noriega also contributed to the team’s final score as they tallied a hat-trick of their own to help heal the Week 2 victory. INDY Team #3 (1-2-0) are next on the docket for Pilsen Kidz, as they look to keep up the winning momentum.

 

INDY Team #3 (1-2) vs. Kenosha Kickers (0-2) – Tuesday, September 29, 2020

INDY Team #3 was scheduled for a double header in Week 2 and played very well in Game 1 as they blanked Kenosha Kickers with a final score of 2-0. INDY Team #3’s goalie Jay Gonzalez deserves much of the credit after earning a shutout. Eoin Kirwan and Justin Vorndran each lasered in one goal to help earn the team the win and their first points of the season. For INDY Team #3, every contest is a big opportunity to gain ground in the League Standings at the beginning of the year. They would need to immediately step back onto the field and take on H-Tizzy in Game 2 of their double dip. More on this game below. Kenosha Kickers were unable to get rolling on the offensive end in this one, netting fewer than their total from their Week 1 game. This was the better played match as they only lost by two goals this week. As for Kenosha Kickers they’ll move on to a showdown against F.C. Rogues (2-0-0) as they try to get into the win column and record their first point(s) of the season.

 

H-Tizzy (1-0) vs. INDY Team #3 (1-2) – Tuesday, September 29, 2020

On Tuesday night in their season opener of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed REC 8v8 Soccer League, H-Tizzy kicked its offense into high gear to post a 5-1 victory over INDY Team #3. Zachary Harris scored two goals to spearhead the team’s offense. Three other players recorded their names onto the scorer’s sheet to help seal the full three points for H-Tizzy. This week H-Tizzy will take on Unathletico (1-1-0), as they go for their second straight victory. INDY Team #3 had two games this week. They struggled in this second match, and they now sit tied for 2nd place in the league standings with 3 points. Justin Vorndran scored the only goal for INDY Team #3 to prevent the shutout. As for INDY Team #3 they will move on to a game against Pilsen Kidz (2-0-0) coming up in Week 3 as they look to get back into the winner’s circle.
