Tuesday Sheridan Park TURF Coed INT 7v7 Soccer – Week 5 Recap

ASPCA (4-1-0) vs. INDY Team #4 (0-4-0) – Tuesday, August 18, 2020

Grabbing the same result as they did earlier in the year, ASPCA won the second go-around against INDY Team #4. This game finished with a thrilling final score of 5-4.  The first shout-out goes to Kenny Hussey of ASPCA who knocked in another goal on Tuesday night and now has the most goals in the league with 9 total goals. Our second shout-out goes to Tom Heppard who fired in two goals of his own to help gain the team the win. This heartbreaking loss for INDY Team #4 comes as they scored their most goals in any game so far this season. Four different players were able to get on the scorer’s sheet for INDY Team #4 in their loss on Tuesday night. Next up for ASPCA is a contest against Club Rez (2-3-0) as they look to lock in the overall #1 seed prior to the postseason starting.   INDY Team #4 will have two attempts to break their winless streak coming up on Tuesday evening with match-ups against Team Steinborn (4-1-0) and Club Rez (2-3-0).

 

Team Steinborn (4-1-0) vs. Club Rez (2-3-0) – Tuesday, August 18, 2020

Team Steinborn defeats Club Rez for the second time this season on Tuesday night at the Sheridan Park TURF field. This game finished with a final score of 5-2.  Both teams battled back and forth early on but in the end, it was too much Team Steinborn. Team Steinborn are having an incredible offensive season. They are averaging 6 goals per game. Brandon and George both netted two goals apiece to steer the team’s offense in this crucial victory. Next up for Team Steinborn is a Game against INDY Team #4 (0-4-0) with an opportunity to claim the overall #1 seed prior to the postseason beginning.  Club Rez got goals from Jake Kream and Robert Eckensweller, but it just was not enough to keep pace with the highest scoring team in the league. Next up for Club Rez is a showdown versus INDY Team #4 (0-4-0), as they attempt to bounce back from this lopsided defeat. They’ll then need to step right back onto the field for their double-header with a match-up against ASPCA (4-1-0) as they attempt to close out their regular season schedule on a high note.
