Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Outdoor Soccer League Recap – Week 4

West Grand United (1-4) vs. INDY Team #3 (1-4) – Tuesday, October 13, 2020

It took half the season, but West Grand United finally earned their first win of the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League! They defeated INDY Team #3 by a final score of 4-1. Tom Oneill, Liam Forde, Jesse Nasadowski and Matthew C. each kicked in one goal to spearhead the team’s attack. This was a massive victory for West Grand United as it gave them the full three points and put them into a four-way tie for fourth place in the league standings. West Grand United could not celebrate this victory for too long however as they needed to step right back onto the pitch and take on Kenosha Kickers (1-3) as they had a double header on their schedule in Week 4. More on this game below. INDY Team #3 really did not have their best stuff on offense in this one, scoring less than their average of 1.6 goals per game this year. Jay Gonzalez scored the only goal for INDY Team #3 to prevent the shutout. Next up for INDY Team #3 coming up in Week 5 is a match-up versus Unathletico (1-3-0), as they attempt to rebound from this tough defeat.

 

West Grand United (1-4) vs. Kenosha Kickers (1-3) – Tuesday, October 13, 2020

As West Grand United did in the game prior, Kenosha Kickers celebrated a team milestone this week as they earned their first win of the season, defeating West Grand United by a final score of 3-1. Kenosha Kickers brought their A game in this one, besting their average of 1.5 goals per game. Steven Pelrine recorded a brace and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet. Joey Betland fired in their second goal of the season to help seal this crucial Week 4 victory for the Kenosha Kickers. Next up for Kenosha Kickers is a showdown against Unathletico (1-3-0) coming up in Week 5 as they look to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season. West Grand United had a double header. This was the tougher match of the two as they were unable to relive their magic from the previous game. Quintin scored the only goal for West Grand United to prevent the shutout. Next up for West Grand United is a match-up versus an undefeated Pilsen Kidz (4-0-0) coming up in Week 5, as they attempt to secure their second win of the season.

 

Pilsen Kidz (4-0) vs. H-Tizzy (3-1) – Tuesday, October 13, 2020

In an highly anticipated match-up in Week 4 of the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League, Pilsen Kidz and H-Tizzy took part in a nail-biter up to the last minute with a final score of 6-5 in favor of Pilsen Kidz. This is H-Tizzy’s first loss of the season. The losing team still had notable players including Zachary Harris, who fired in a hat-trick for H-Tizzy in this contest. Matthew Hussey knocked in their fourth and fifth goals of the year to help keep H-Tizzy in this contest, unfortunately it just was not enough to get past a determined Pilsen Kidz crew. Next up for H-Tizzy is a match-up versus F.C. Rogues (4-0-0) coming up in Week 5, as they look to get back on track. Pilsen Kidz are playing an incredible offensive season up to this point. They are averaging 10 goals per game. Sergio Noriega recorded a brace, and four other Pilsen Kidz players tallied their names onto the scorer’s sheet to help Pilsen Kidz remain unbeaten. Pilsen Kidz will try go for their fifth straight win coming up in Week 5 with a showdown versus West Grand United (1-4-0).

 

F.C. Rogues (4-0) vs. Unathletico (1-3) – Tuesday, October 13, 2020

F.C. Rogues and Unathletico had a defensive battle in Week 4 of the Tuesday Wells TURF Coed REC 7v7 Soccer League, with a combined score of three goals. F.C. Rogues took home the thrilling 2-1 victory. Unathletico really were unable to get rolling in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 3.0 GPG this season. Matthew scored the only goal for Unathletico to prevent the shutout. Kenosha Kickers (1-3-0) are next up on the calendar for Unathletico coming up in Week 5, as they attempt to bounce back from this heartbreaking defeat. F.C. Rogues really buckled down in this battle, earning the W, despite scoring less than their average goals per game of 4.0. Norman Astudillo and Mario Urquiza each kicked in one goal to provide the scoring for F.C. Rogues in this contest and help them remain unbeaten. F.C. Rogues will look for their fifth consecutive victory coming up in Week 5 with an important battle against H-Tizzy (3-1-0).
