Sunday Lincoln Park TURF Coed REC 8v8 Flag Football – Week 5 Recap

No As Club (1-4) v. OGs (2-3) – Sunday, August 16, and 2020

With a final score of 26-8, No As Club recorded their first victory of the Spring 2020 season.  No As Club really showed up in this one, topping their average of 12.00 points per game. QB Matt Payton delivered three scores, passing to Dom Lougone for two of them. OGs really struggled to get it going on offense in this contest, scoring less than their average of 13.30 ppg for the season. During the loss for OGs, QB Monet Mailey hit Leah Shelton for one touchdown. Next up for No As Club is a rematch against The Assassins (3-2-0). In their previous meeting back in Week 4, No As Club lost a tough one by a final score of 24-8.  Next up for OGs is a battle versus INDY Team #4 (1-4-0), as they attempt to rebound from this tough loss.

 

Flags & Flasks (4-1) v. OGs (2-3) – Sunday, August 16, and 2020

With a final score of 23-12, Flags & Flasks have their eyes on the prize.  Flags & Flasks are the highest-scoring team in the league for the season, averaging 26.4 points per game. QB Matt Sandt delivered one TD, which was caught by Jeremy Edwards and ran for two more. OGs really did not have their best showing on the defensive end in this one, allowing more points than their average of 20.30 points against per game this season. For OGs, in the loss (their second of the day), QB Monet Mailey hit Mike Keeton for two touchdowns. Willis Towers Watson (3-0-0) are next up on the calendar for Flags & Flasks, as they look to keep their winning ways going.  Next up for OGs is a battle versus INDY Team #4 (1-4-0), as they attempt to rebound from both Week 5 losses.

 

The Assassins (3-2) v. INDY Team #4 (1-4) – Sunday, August 16, and 2020

Earning the same result as they did earlier this season, The Assassins won the rematch between these two Teams. By the score of 34-14, The Assassins recorded a blowout victory.  The Assassins really showed up in this game, beating their average of 16.00 ppg. QB Sean Kelly threw three TDs, finding Leah Shelton for two of them. INDY Team #4 really struggled to get it going on the offensive end in this one, scoring less than their average of 17.40 ppg this year. During the loss for INDY Team #4, QB Shaun Himmerick hit Mario Garcia for two touchdowns. No As Club (1-4-0) are next up on the schedule for The Assassins, as they look to keep it going.  OGs (1-3-0) is next up on the calendar for INDY Team #4, as they look to rebound from this lopsided defeat.
