#SquadGoals (1-0) vs. Can we kick it? (0-1) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

#SquadGoals and Can we kick it? had a defensive battle, with a combined score of three goals. #SquadGoals took home the 2-1 victory. It’s only week one, and Can we kick it? has plenty of opportunities to improve on the offensive end. Carter Funkhouses scored the only goal for Can we kick it? to save them from a shutout. Kyle Wiemerslage and Taylor Haack scored one goal to help earn the team the W.  As for Can we kick it? next on the docket is Messi Diapers (0-0-1) as they try to come back from this one.   #SquadGoals will attempt to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. This week #SquadGoals will battle INDY Team #16 (0-0-1). 

Puppy Luv (1-0) vs. Retired Broz (0-1) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

Puppy Luv played well here and blanked Retired Broz with a final score of 2-0. Rey was the MVP, scoring all two goals and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet. Their goalie, Franklin Wong, played very well in the clean sheet.  For Puppy Luv, each contest is a critical chance to gain ground in the Standings at the beginning of the year. TQL (0-1-0) are next on the schedule for Puppy Luv.  Retired Broz will look to get it going on offense if they want to start winning, as they are the lowest-scoring team in the league early on for the season.  As for Retired Broz next up is a game against KH Kicks (1-0-0) as they try to get to the win column.

Dribbling Gerbils (1-0) vs. CannonDesign (0-1) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

Dribbling Gerbils put on a show on both sides of the pitch against CannonDesign with a final score of 2-0. It’s only the first week, so CannonDesign has plenty of season left to work their way up the rankings. Dribbling Gerbils’ goalie Christian Van Epps earned a clean sheet in this one. Travis Trainor and Josh Zalot both kicked one goal to lead the crew’s offense.  As for CannonDesign next on the docket is INDY Team #6 (0-0-1) as they attempt to bounce back.   Dribbling Gerbils will try to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. Mintel Marauders (0-0-1) are next on the calendar for Dribbling Gerbils. 

Sexy Footballers (1-0) vs. SCB FC (0-1) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

Sexy Footballers were incredible on both sides of the pitch against SCB FC with a final score of 4-0. Mohamad, Elizabeth, and Alex each contributed to the final score, with 2 goals for Mohamad and 1 each for the others. Their goalkeeper, Clif, got a clean sheet in this one.  This week Sexy Footballers will go toe to toe with Liquorpool (0-2-0), as they go for another W.  SCB FC had a rough start to the season, but sources tell us they just had an off night and they’ll be bouncing back in week 2.  For SCB FC they’ll move on to a showdown with Shticks (1-0-0) as they strive to rebound.

INDY Team #6 (0-0-1) vs. INDY Team #16 (0-0-1) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

INDY Team #6 and INDY Team #16 were even in this match-up and concluded tied up at 4-4. This is INDY Team #16’s first tie this season and it was their best offensive performance yet. In the tie, Chris Faxel put up two goals for INDY Team #16, while Katie Rose and Lanie Monoy scored the other goals. INDY Team #6 used their 4 goals scored in this game to boost their total goals this season to 4. A few players scored goals for INDY Team #6 in this game, including Tyler Brodbeck, Daniel Guan, Jordan Nelson and Ashley Rizzo.  For INDY Team #16 next they take on #SquadGoals (1-0-0).  Exiting week 1, INDY Team #6 will look ahead to CannonDesign (0-1-0) who are next on the schedule.

Shticks (1-0) vs. TQL (0-1) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

Shticks put on a show on both sides of the pitch against TQL with a final score of 2-0. To help earn the team the victory, Alec Greenberg was the VIP, scoring all two goals.  Shout-out to goalkeeper, John D, for the shutout! This week Shticks will go toe to toe with SCB FC (0-1-0), as they go for another W.  TQL will aim to pick up the pace on offense if they’re going to start winning, as they are the lowest-scoring team in the league early on for the season.  For TQL next up is a pairing with Puppy Luv (1-0-0) as they look to rebound.

Game of Throw-ins (0-0-1) vs. Indy City FC (0-0-1) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

Game of Throw-ins and Indy City FC played to a draw and ended all tied at 0-0. Setting a record for the Game of Throw-ins, this was their best defensive game of the season. Exiting week 1, Game of Throw-ins will look ahead to Old Town Road (0-1-0) who are next on the schedule. Setting a record for the Indy City FC, this was their best defensive game of the season.  For Indy City FC they will go toe to toe with Nice For What (1-0-0).

Velvet Taquitos (1-0) vs. The Jellyshots (0-1) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

Velvet Taquitos played well here and blanked The Jellyshots with a final score of 2-0. Velvet Taquitos’s goalie deserves much of the credit after earning a clean sheet. Selena and Beck each led his team to victory to help gain the squad the victory. It’s only the first week, so The Jellyshots has plenty of season left to work their way up the rankings.  For Velvet Taquitos, each week is a critical chance to build momentum. For The Jellyshots next up is a showdown with Suck My Kick (1-0-0) as they look to bounce back.

Messi Diapers (1-0) vs. Mintel Marauders (0-1) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

Messi Diapers and Mintel Marauders matched up this week with the final score ending 4-1. Jorge Perez was the star player for Mintel Marauders this week. They scored the only goal for their team. Messi Diapers used their 4 goals scored in this game to boost their total goals this season to 4. Kyle Pass accounted for two goals for Messi Diapers to guide the club’s offense while Carlos Pozuelo and Lilian Chetoksy contributed with a goal as well.  For Mintel Marauders next they take on Dribbling Gerbils (1-0-0).  Exiting week 1, Messi Diapers will look ahead to Can we kick it? KH Kicks (1-0) vs. Liquorpool (0-2) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

KH Kicks controlled this game in shut out fashion against Liquorpool with a final score of 3-0. This was one of two games for Liquorpool. Disappointingly, they lost both matches, which now gives them a 2-game losing streak.  As for Liquorpool next on the calendar is Sexy Footballers (1-0-0) as they strive to bounce back. Lucas and Curtis both contributed to the final score with 2 and 1 goals respectively. Shout-out to keeper, Jason, for the shutout! For KH Kicks, next up is a match-up against Retired Broz (0-1-0), as they look to keep up the momentum. 

Nice For What (1-0) vs. Old Town Road (0-1) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

In this match, Nice For What beat Old Town Road 5-1. Even though they lost, Old Town Road have a significant amount of time to practice their offensive skills before play-offs. Joey Costello scored the only goal for Old Town Road to prevent the shutout.  For Old Town Road they will have a contest with Game of Throw-ins (0-0-1) as they look to bounce back. Lianna Simms kicked two goals to guide the club’s offense. Benjamin Wallace, Brandon Sullivan, and Robert Kocevski each also scored to take home the win this week. Nice For What will try to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. This week Nice For What will play Indy City FC (0-0-1). 

Suck My Kick (1-0) vs. Liquorpool (0-2) – Wednesday, August 14, 2019

Suck My Kick and Liquorpool competed in a Game where the defenses dominated, totaling three goals. Suck My Kick took home the 2-1 victory. This was one of two games for Liquorpool this week. Sadly, they lost both matches dropping them to the #16 rank in the standings. Drew scored the only goal for Liquorpool to save them from a shutout.  As for Liquorpool next up is a contest against Sexy Footballers (1-0-0) as they look to rebound.  Elan Ness-Cohn and Steven Pruim led their team to victory to help get the club the W with their goals.  For Suck My Kick, next up is a battle against The Jellyshots (0-1-0), as they look to keep up the momentum.
