Summer 2019 Tues Diversey Men’s Int-COMP Flag Football – Week 1
Hard Count Heyne’s (1-0) v. Beefcakes (1-1) – Tuesday, June 11, and 2019
Hard Count Heyne’s and Beefcakes battled and the score ended 26-20 in favor of Hard Count Heyne’s. For the victors, QB Zack Smith passed three touchdowns, finding Evan Hargrove for two of them, Al Willett for the other, and ran for one more. Despite the loss, Beefcakes are one of the higher scoring teams in the league for the year, averaging 22.00 points per game. In the loss, QB Nick hit Cody Kliethermes for one touchdown, ran into the end zone for one, and also scored on defense. Exiting week 1, Hard Count Heyne’s will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. Next up is a battle against INDY Team #5 (0-1-0). As for Beefcakes next on the schedule is Shake ‘N Bake (0-1-0) as they strive to bounce back.

The final score of 27-14 reflects the hard work Savaj put into every minute of the game. If Savaj keep playing like this, expect them to find themselves near the top of the standings, as these guys are the highest-scoring team in the league early on this season. QB Ross Drwal threw two TDs, passing to Colin Newton for two and James for one, and rushed in one on his own. It’s only week one, but Shake ‘N Bake are the lowest-scoring team in the league so far. During the loss, QB Benji hit Jack Baudhuin for one touchdown, and rushed for one more. Savaj will try to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2.
Beefcakes (1-1) v. INDY Team #5 (0-1) – Tuesday, June 11, and 2019
Beefcakes and INDY Team #5 competed in a close one. By the score of 24-19, Beefcakes got a nail biting W. QB Nicholas delivered three TDs, finding Andrew Apel, Mike Kraft, and Kyle Venhuizen, and ran in one on his own. It’s only week one, and INDY Team #5 has tons of games to get better on the offensive end. For INDY Team #5, in the loss, QB Jim Marron hit both Robbie G Adams and Justin for one touchdown. This week Beefcakes will compete with Shake ‘N Bake (0-1-0), as they look to keep up the momentum. As for INDY Team #5 they will have a game against Hard Count Heyne’s (1-0-0) as they attempt to come back from this one.
