Aguacates FC (1-0) vs. 2 Goals, 1 Cup (0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

Aguacates FC and 2 Goals, 1 Cup had a defensive battle, with a combined score of three goals. Aguacates FC took home the 2-1 victory. The season is still young, and 2 Goals, 1 Cup has plenty of time to go back to the drawing board on offense. John Webb scored the only goal for 2 Goals, 1 Cup to save them from a shutout.  For 2 Goals, 1 Cup they’ll move on to a matchup against Conversant (0-1-0) as they look to get to the win column. Trevor Reynolds and Giancarlo Delon both lasered in one goal to steer the team’s offense.  For Aguacates FC, every contest is a critical opportunity for them to gather wins early on. Next up is a match-up against GT Soccer (1-0-0). 

INDY Team #2 (0-0-1) vs. Indy 3 (0-0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

INDY Team #2 and Indy 3 were very well-matched in this contest and concluded all tied at 1-1. This is Indy 3’s first tie this season and it was their best offensive performance yet. Dan was the star player for Indy 3 this week. They scored the only goal for their team. For Indy 3 they will face off with Wasted Talent (1-0-0). This week’s result puts INDY Team #2 in 11th place in the standings. Pogba scored the team’s only goal, saving their team from defeat. Exiting week 1, INDY Team #2 looks ahead to Soccer Hotties (1-0-0) who are next on the calendar.

Balls Deep (1-0) vs. Avocado Discoballs (0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

Balls Deep shut out Avocado Discoballs with a final score of just 1-0. To provide some scoring, Josh Mah scored their only goal.  Shout-out to keeper, Andrew Lively, for the shutout! This week Balls Deep will go toe to toe with Grass Kickers (0-1-0), as they look for another win early on this season.  Despite the loss, Avocado Discoballs have plenty of games to practice their offensive skills before play-offs.  For Avocado Discoballs next up is a contest with Briefcase FC (1-0-0) as they attempt to bounce back.

Net Six and Chill (1-0) vs. LPSE (0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

Net Six and Chill put on a show on both sides of the pitch against LPSE with a final score of 3-0. Despite the loss, LPSE has a significant amount of time to get better on the offensive end.  As for LPSE they’ll move on to a contest against Panthers fc (0-1-0) as they strive to come back from this one. Derek Fujii and Vinny Bonano both contributed to the final score with 2 and 1 goals respectively. The defenders are the unsung heroes of this match for helping Mike Horan earn a shutout. Briefcase FC (1-0) vs. Conversant (0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

Briefcase FC and Conversant competed in a Game where the defenses dominated, totaling three goals. Briefcase FC took home the 2-1 victory. Even though they lost, Conversant has plenty of opportunities to get better on the offensive end. The losing team still had notable players including Edgar Padilla, who scored one goal for Conversant.  For Conversant they will have a game against 2 Goals, 1 Cup (0-1-0) as they attempt to get to the win column. Glenda Lopez and Trevor Jaconetti both netted one goal to help gain the squad the win.  Exiting week 1, Briefcase FC will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. Soccer Hotties (1-0) vs. Panthers fc (0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

In this match, Soccer Hotties beat Panthers fc 5-2. Even with a loss, Panthers fc have a significant amount of opportunities to practice their offensive skills before play-offs. The losing team still had notable players including Sky Anselm, who scored one goal for Panthers fc.  For Panthers fc next on the docket is LPSE (0-1-0) as they attempt to come back from this one.  Pogba led his team with three goals, while Conor and Aly scored one to help earn the club the W.  Exiting week 1, Soccer Hotties will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. Next up is a battle against INDY Team #2 (0-0-1). 

ESPN The Ocho (1-0) vs. Flop Shop (0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

ESPN The Ocho shut out Flop Shop with a final score of just 1-0. Spearheading the team’s offense, Matt Allain scored their only goal.  The club’s goalkeeper, Brad Sherrill, made sure Flop Shop would not score.  This week ESPN The Ocho will line-up against INDY Team #18 (0-1-0), as they go for another W.  The season is still young, and Flop Shop has significant amounts of time to improve on the offensive side of the ball.  As for Flop Shop next up is a showdown against INDY Team #10 (1-0-0) as they attempt to rebound.

Team Awesome (1-0) vs. The Invincible Super Winners (0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

Team Awesome put on a show on both sides of the pitch against The Invincible Super Winners with a final score of 2-0. Team Awesome’s goalie stone-walled The Invincible Super Winners.  Simon’s two goals led his team to victory to guide the team’s offense. Even though they lost, The Invincible Super Winners have plenty of weeks to practice their offensive skills before play-offs.  Exiting week 1, Team Awesome will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. Grass Kickers (1-0) vs. GT Soccer (0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

Grass Kickers took home the big win in this one with a final score of 5-2 against GT Soccer. Despite the loss, Kaitlin Eschbach had two goals for GT Soccer. They have plenty of games to go back to the drawing board on the offensive end. For the winners, they had notable players including Nathan Goldberg, who put in two goals for Grass Kickers. Wasted Talent (1-0) vs. Winded City FC (0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

Winded City FC couldn’t pull together enough players for this game and had to forfeit to Wasted Talent.  Indy 3 (0-0-1) are next on the docket for Wasted Talent, as they look to keep up the momentum.  This forfeit was Winded City FC’s first loss of the season.  For Winded City FC they will have a pairing with Net Six and Chill (1-0-0) as they try to get to the win column.

INDY Team #10 (1-0) vs. INDY Team #18 (0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

INDY Team #18 forfeited and handed a free win to INDY Team #10 for this game.  INDY Team #10 will look to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. This week INDY Team #10 will play Flop Shop (0-1-0).  This forfeit was INDY Team #18’s first loss of the season.  As for INDY Team #18 they will have a contest against ESPN The Ocho (1-0-0) as they attempt to get to the win column.

Fight or Flight (0-0-1) vs. Cat Facts FC (0-0-1) – Monday, August 12, 2019

Fight or Flight and Cat Facts FC were really even in this contest and concluded all tied up at 2-2. This is Cat Facts FC’s first tie this season and it was their best offensive performance yet. Rob was the star player for Cat Facts FC this week. They scored all two goals for their team. For Cat Facts FC next up is Team Awesome (1-0-0).
