Three different Chudley Cannon players tallied their name onto the scorer’s sheet as Chudley Cannon cruised to a 3-0 win over Can we kick it? in Week 1 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed INT 8v8 Soccer League. Chudley Cannon’s goalie Brett deserves much of the credit after earning a clean sheet in the season opener. Cameron Caruso, Kyle Stuart and Mark all fire in one goal apiece to provide the offense for Chudley Cannon in this contest. Exiting week 1, Chudley Cannon will look ahead to keep their early season momentum rolling. Coming up in Week 2 is a matchup with Game of Throw-In’s (1-0-0).  Despite the loss, Can we kick it? has a significant amount of games remaining on their schedule to pick it up on offense. As for Can we kick it? next on the calendar is Goon Squad (0-1-0) coming up in Week 2 as they try to record their first point(s) of the season.

 

Game of Throw-In’s (1-0) vs. Goon Squad (0-1) – Tuesday, May 18, 2021

Moving a Coed Soccer Team forward comes with emotional swings; Tuesday’s season opening contest was a nail biter worth the end result. With three goals, Game of Throw-In’s got the scoring they needed as they knocked off Goon Squad 3-2 in Week 1 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed INT 8v8 Soccer League. Matt Tune netted two goals for Game of Throw-In’s in this one and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet. Tim Hubner also added a goal for Game of Throw-In’s to help secure their squad all three points. Game of Throw-In’s will attempt to stay atop the League Standings with another W in Week 2. Next up is a battle with Chudley Cannon (1-0-0). It is only week one, and Goon Squad has significant amounts of time to pick it up on the defensive end of the pitch. James Hansen III was the star player for Goon Squad this week. They scored both goals for Goon Squad to help keep their squad in this game. As for Goon Squad next on the docket is Can we kick it? (0-1-0) as they look to rebound from this gut-wrenching defeat.

 

Save the Knees (1-0) vs. Spoon’s Goons (0-2) – Tuesday, May 18, 2021

Save the Knees opened its 2021 Spring season with a win after defeating Spoon’s Goons, 3-1, in Week 1 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed INT 8v8 Soccer League. Max Taylor was the star of the show for Save the Knees in this one as they fired in two goals to help get the team the crucial Week 1 win. Ian Waller put in a goal as well for Save the Knees to help secure this victory. Exiting week 1, Save the Knees will look to record back-to-back victories. Next up is a battle with INDY Team #8 (0-0-0) coming up in Week 2. Andrew Witherspoon scored the only goal for Spoon’s Goons in this contest to save them from a shutout. Spoon’s Goons could not dwell on this loss for too long as they needed to step right back onto the pitch and take on Rooney’s Angels as they had the Week 1 double header on their slate. Rooney’s Angels (1-0) vs. Spoon’s Goons (0-2) – Tuesday, May 18, 2021

Rooney’s Angels were amazing in this shutout victory against Spoon’s Goons with a final score of 8-0 in Week 1 of the Tuesday Hawthorne TURF Coed INT 8v8 Soccer League. Rooney’s Angels goalkeeper Krystian Szorc deserves much of the credit after earning a clean sheet and firing in one goal. Jeremy Stapleton, John Moderwell and Kim Jerantowski each fired in two goals apiece and earned the most tallies on the scoresheet for Rooney’s Angels in this one. For Rooney’s Angels, next up is a battle against this exact same Spoon’s Goons (0-2-0) squad coming up in Week 2, as they look to keep up the momentum. Spoon’s Goons had two games this week. They lost both matches giving them a 2-game losing streak. For Spoon’s Goons they will have another battle against Rooney’s Angels (1-0-0) coming up in Week 2 as they try to record their first point(s) of the season.
