Spring 2021 Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT/COMP Flag Football – Week 1

Bitcoiners (1-0) v. 4th and Schlong (0-1) – Monday, April 5, and 2021

Bitcoiners and 4th and Schlong were extremely evenly matched on opening night of the Spring 2021 Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT/COMP Men’s Flag Football League. Bitcoiners put 14 on the board and held 4th and Schlong to 12 points. QB Tommy Sutker tossed two scores for Bitcoiners in this one, connecting with Kyle Kinner and Zachary Christopher to help seal this crucial Week 1 victory. Bitcoiners will try to stay atop the League Standings with another W in Week 2. This week Bitcoiners will battle Mambas (1-1-0). The season is still young, and 4th and Schlong still has plenty of games remaining on their schedule to pick it up on the offensive end. In the loss, Clint Bobowski and Charlie Hupp each tossed a TD, unfortunately they could not convert on their conversions, which ultimately was the difference in this game. As for 4th and Schlong, they will look to record their first win of the season coming up in Week 2.

 

Mambas (1-1) v. Hash-slinging Slashers (0-1) – Monday, April 5, and 2021

On a beautiful night in the Windy City on opening day of the Spring 2021 Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT/COMP Flag Football League, points and yards were hard to come by in this contest. And Hash-slinging Slashers were unable to overcome the strength of the Mambas defense, falling to the Mambas 15-6 for their first loss of the season. QB Alec Fidan accounted for both of Mambas scores in this one, connecting with Jibreel Brown and Austin Zavis to help secure their first victory of the season. Mambas could not celebrate this victory for too long however as they needed to step right back onto the field and take on Schoolyard Dogs as they were slated for a double header in Week 1. More on this game below. It is only the first week, but Hash-slinging Slashers are the lowest-scoring team in the league so far. For Hash-slinging Slashers, QB Jacob Lewis hit Danny Hoffman for their only score in this game. As for Hash-slinging Slashers they will move on to a showdown against Schoolyard Dogs (1-0-0) coming up in Week 2 as they attempt to get to the win column.

 

Schoolyard Dogs (1-0) v. Mambas (1-1) – Monday, April 5, and 2021

Schoolyard Dogs started their Spring 2021 Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT/COMP Flag Football League on a high note as they defeated Mambas by the paltry score of 6-0. QB John Davidson passed for one score for Schoolyard Dogs in this contest, which was caught by Mitch Pfeiffer. On the defensive side of the ball, Schoolyard Dogs were simply dominate as they recorded their first shutout of the season. Schoolyard Dogs will attempt to stay atop the League Standings with another W in Week 2. This week Schoolyard Dogs will play Hash-slinging Slashers (0-1-0). Mambas struggled to get it going on offense in this game, scoring less than their total from their first contest. As for Mambas they will move on to a pairing against Bitcoiners (1-0-0) coming up in Week 2 as they attempt to get back into the winners circle.
