Spring 2021 Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT/COMP Flag Football – Week 4

Mambas (4-1) v. Hash-slinging Slashers (1-3-1) – Monday, April 26, 2021

Just like earlier in the season back on opening night, Mambas won the rematch between Hash-slinging Slashers in Week 4 of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT 7v7 Flag Football League. The final score of 28-8 reflects the hard work Mambas put into every minute of the game. Mambas really battled hard for this game, earning the win despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 5.4 ppg. QB Alec Fidan tossed four TDs, connecting with four different receivers along the way. Next up for Mambas is a showdown against Schoolyard Dogs (1-1-1) coming up in Week 5. Hash-slinging Slashers struggled to get it going on offense in this game, scoring less than their average of 12.80 points per game this year. In the loss for Hash-slinging Slashers, QB Matt Mccaffrey hit Spencer Cotten for their only score in this game. Next up for Hash-slinging Slashers is a showdown against Bitcoiners (3-2-0) coming up in Week 5, as they try to bounce back from this lopsided defeat.

 

Bitcoiners (3-2) v. 4th and Schlong (1-3) – Monday, April 26, 2021

Earning the same result as they did back on opening night, Bitcoiners won the rematch between 4th and Schlong in Week 4 of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT 7v7 Flag Football League. With a final score of 34-18, Bitcoiners are one game closer to the championship title. Bitcoiners stepped up, beating their average of 19.60 points per game. QB Tommy Sutker delivered four touchdowns, passing to Jack Gurvey for two of them. Bitcoiners could not celebrate this victory for too long however as they needed to step right back onto the field and take on Schoolyard Dogs as they had double header on their slate in Week 4. More on this game below. 4th and Schlong played their A game in this one even though they lost, beating their average of 12.80 ppg this season. In the loss for 4th and Schlong, QB Clint Bobowski accounted for all three of his squads scores, hitting Danny Stent for one touchdown and rushed for one more with his legs. Next up for 4th and Schlong is a showdown against Schoolyard Dogs (1-1-1) coming up in Week 5, as they look to get back on track.

 

Bitcoiners (3-2) v. Schoolyard Dogs (1-1-1) – Monday, April 26, 2021

Bitcoiners and Schoolyard Dogs took part in a close one in Week 4 of the Monday Lincoln Park TURF Men’s INT 7v7 Flag Football League. By the score of 28-22, Bitcoiners got a W. Bitcoiners really brought their A game in this game, topping their average of 19.60 points per game. QB Tommy Sutker threw one TD, which was caught by Zak Lieberman and rushed for two more. Bitcoiners will look to make it three wins in a row coming up in Week 5 with a match-up against Hash-slinging Slashers (1-3-1). Despite the loss, Schoolyard Dogs really gave everything they had, topping their average of 16.70 points per game for the year. In the loss, QB John Davidson delivered three touchdown passes, connecting with Jon Arenas for one of them. Schoolyard Dogs will have two opportunities coming up in Week 5 to get back on track as they have a double header on their slate. They will first take the field against Mambas (4-1) before running it right back against 4th and Schlong (1-3).
