Shenanigans (1-1-3) vs. Shooting for Shotz (3-2) – Wednesday, August 12, 2020

They feared they might go through the whole season without a win, but Shenanigans defeated Shooting for Shotz 4-3 in this week 5 match-up. Shenanigans really brought their A game in this game, surpassing their average of 1.4 goals per game.  Spencer N scored a hat trick to lead the club’s attack. TQL Chicago SC (0-4-1) are next up on the docket for Shenanigans, as they look to keep it going.  Shooting for Shotz really were unable to stop much on the defensive end in this game, giving up more goals than their average of 2.8 goals against per game for the year. Edward Maynard was the star player for Shooting for Shotz this week. They scored both goals for their team. Kick in a Box (0-4-1) are next up on the docket for Shooting for Shotz, as they look to rebound.

Team Boohoo (3-1-1) vs. TQL Chicago SC (0-4-1) – Wednesday, August 12, 2020

In this match, Team Boohoo beat TQL Chicago SC 6-1. Let’s start with Michael Garai of Team Boohoo who now is in the lead for the scoring title with 9 goals. Michael Garai on fire and contributed 6 goals to help get the team the win. TQL Chicago SC really didn’t have their best stuff in this one, scoring fewer than their average of 1.4 goals per game this year. Rosario Camaci scored the only goal for TQL Chicago SC to get their team on the board. Next up for Team Boohoo is a match-up against Outrageous Fun (2-1-2).   Next week, TQL Chicago SC will try to break their winless streak against Shenanigans (1-1-3).

Beast Incarnates (4-1) vs. Tenderloins (1-2-2) – Wednesday, August 12, 2020

Beast Incarnates were incredible on both sides of the pitch against Tenderloins with a final score of 4-0.  Aaron Quinley scored one goal. The defenders did a great job in this game by helping Christian Van Epps earn a clean sheet. INDY Team #3 (2-1-2) are next up on the docket for Beast Incarnates, as they look to keep it going.  Tenderloins didn’t have their best stuff on offense in this one, but they’ve had 6 overall goals this season.  Next up for Tenderloins is a battle against Let’s Get Messi (3-2-0), as they attempt to bounce back.

Let’s Get Messi (3-2) vs. Kick in a Box (0-4-1) – Wednesday, August 12, 2020

Let’s Get Messi were incredible on both sides of the pitch against Kick in a Box with a final score of 6-0. Kick in a Box were unable to get rolling in this one, and couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. Let’s Get Messi have consistently shown they are an attacking team. They’re averaging 3 goals per game. Natalia accounted for one goal. The defense are the unsung heroes of this match for helping Morgan Buursma earn a shut out. Next week, Kick in a Box faces off against Shooting for Shotz (3-2-0) in an attempt to break their winless streak.  Next up for Let’s Get Messi is a throwdown against Tenderloins (1-2-2).

Grass Kickers and INDY Team #3 had a draw and ended with a stalemate at 0-0. With no goals to add to their record, this week’s game drops INDY Team #3’s average to 1 points per game.  For INDY Team #3 coming up next on the schedule is Beast Incarnates (4-1-0). Monty’s Maniacs (0-2-3) vs. Outrageous Fun (2-1-2) – Wednesday, August 12, 2020

The underdog, Monty’s Maniacs (currently ranked 10th in the league) tied the favored Outrageous Fun (currently ranked 4th) with a final score of 3-3. This is Outrageous Fun’s second tie this season and they’re currently sitting in fourth place in the standings. In the tie, Kevin Boone had two goals for Outrageous Fun. This win for the Monty’s Maniacs came as a surprise considering it’s more than halfway through the season and they have only scored less than a handful goals.
