Toe Ballers (5-2-1) vs. Zombies! (0-6-1) – Wednesday, May 08, 2019

It was an exciting Quarter-Final matches, in which the #3 seed, Toe Ballers, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #5 seed, Zombies!.  It’s week 7 and Zombies! have only scored a total of 2 goals all season. Greg scored the only goal for Zombies! to prevent the shutout. On the bright side for Zombies!, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season. The win for Toe Ballers meant a straight shot to semi-finals. They played this game immediately following the quarter-final game. The recap below tells you all about it.

 

Blue Guys (5-1-1) vs. Toe Ballers (5-2-1) – Wednesday, May 08, 2019

Blue Guys were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 5 goals last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #2 seed playing the #3 seed, Toe Ballers.  They took the win to advance to the Championship Game. Toe Ballers had a double header this week. This was the tougher match of the two, and they now sit in 3rd place in the standings. This is the end of the road for Toe Ballers’s run in this league. There’s always next season.  The semi-final win for Blue Guys advanced them to the championship game.

 

Chicago Handshakes (3-5) vs. Kick in a Box (0-6-1) – Wednesday, May 08, 2019

The 4th place vs 5th place game is always one of the most exciting matches of the playoff bracket.  With a final score of 4-1, Chicago Handshakes grabbed this W.  It’s week 7 and Kick in a Box have only scored a total of 2 goals all season.  T. Stadnick scored the only goal for Kick in a Box to prevent the shutout. On the bright side for Kick in a Box, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season. This win advanced Chicago Handshakes to semi-finals, which was played as a double header. The exciting recap of that game is below.

 

Train Wreck (7-0) vs. Chicago Handshakes (3-5) – Wednesday, May 08, 2019

It was an exciting Semi-Final matches, in which the #1 seed, Train Wreck, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #4 seed, Chicago Handshakes.  They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Train Wreck advanced to the Championship game. This was one of two games for Chicago Handshakes this week. The game could have gone either way, and they now sit in 4th place in the standings. Dustin scored the only goal for Chicago Handshakes to save them from a shutout. Chicago Handshakes is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon.
