Spring 2019 Wednesday Montrose Turf 11v11 Soccer – Week 1

Blue Guys (1-0) vs. Chicago Handshakes (0-1) – Wednesday, March 27, 2019

Blue Guys played well here and blanked Chicago Handshakes with a final score of 2-0.  Blue Guys’s goalkeeper Mike Taylor deserves a shout out for helping blank the Chicago Handshakes’s offense.  Adam Bassett and Drew each kicked one goal to provide some scoring.  It’s only week one, and Chicago Handshakes has plenty of games to go back to the drawing board on the offensive end.  Exiting week 1, Blue Guys will look ahead to keep their early season momentum. Kick in a Box (0-1-0) are next on the schedule for them.   For Chicago Handshakes they will have a battle against Toe Ballers (1-0-0) as they try to come back from this one.

 

Train Wreck (1-0) vs. Kick in a Box (0-1) – Wednesday, March 27, 2019

Train Wreck and Kick in a Box had a defensive battle, with a combined score of three goals. Train Wreck took home the 2-1 victory.  Even with a loss, Kick in a Box has a ton of time to get better on offense. Sean Dempsey scored the only goal for Kick in a Box to save them from a shutout.  Greg kicked in two goals to steer the squad’s offense.   As for Kick in a Box next on the schedule is Blue Guys (1-0-0) as they try to come back from this one.   For Train Wreck, each week is a crucial opportunity to get cruisin from the jump. This week Train Wreck will go toe to toe with Zombies! (0-1-0).

 

Toe Ballers (1-0) vs. Zombies! (0-1) – Wednesday, March 27, 2019

Toe Ballers and Zombies! competed in a low scoring affair, combining for three goals. Toe Ballers took home the 2-1 victory. Matt and Troy each kicked one goal to provide some scoring.  The season is still young, and Zombies! has significant amounts of weeks to get better on offense.  A scored the only goal for Zombies! to save them from a shutout.  Toe Ballers will look to stay atop the Standings with another W in week 2. Chicago Handshakes (0-1-0) are next on the calendar for Toe Ballers.   For Zombies! next on the schedule is Train Wreck (1-0-0) as they strive to come back from this one.
