Wolves of Marcy St (8-0) v. No Punt Intended (3-5-1) – Wednesday, May 15, and 2019

It was an exciting Semi-Final game, in which the #1 seed, Wolves of Marcy St, squeaked by with a 1-point win against the #4 seed, No Punt Intended.  By the score of 19-18, Wolves of Marcy St got the close W to stay undefeated on the campaign.  These guys really showed some fight in this one, earning the win despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 8.8 points per game. QB Georaulde passed three TDs, passing to Jack Grady, Cole Etheridge, and Kevin Cooney each for one of them.  In the loss for No Punt Intended, QB Peter J Balsam hit Timothy Hanrahan, Tim Blue, and Cam B each for one touchdown. They dominated in the regular season, and it’s no surprise Wolves of Marcy St advanced to the Championship game. Read the recap below to find out how they did. On the bright side for No Punt Intended, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season.

 

Clydesdales (7-2) v. Checkdowners (1-5-1) – Wednesday, May 15, and 2019

Clydesdales were coming off their top offensive game of the season, scoring 41 points last week. Additionally, they were the higher ranked #2 seed playing the #6 seed, Checkdowners. They confidently took the win to advance to the Championship Game. The final score of 18-14 reflects the hard work Clydesdales put into every minute of the game.  Clydesdales really buckled down in this game, winning, despite scoring less than their avg. ppg of 24.00. QB Michael Boles passed two TDs, finding Connor Furlan Andrew Meier each for one of them and scampered for one more.  For Checkdowners, QB Dan Knisley hit Michael for one touchdown and Zach for another.  The semi-final win for Clydesdales advanced them to the championship game. It was a Championship Game written for the movies. The #1 team, Wolves of Marcy St played the #2 team, Clydesdales for the prestigious long-sleeve shirts forever capturing the moment of glory. With a final score of 20-19, Wolves of Marcy St remain unbeaten this year.  They fought for this game, winning despite allowing more points than their season points against average of 8.8 points per game. QB Georaulde threw three touchdowns, finding Jack Grady, Cole Etheridge and Kevin Cooney each for one of them.  In the loss, QB Michael Boles hit Connor Furlan and Zach each for one touchdown and rushed for one. Congratulations to Wolves of Marcy St on a great season and their championship win! We hope to see this squad return to defend their title.  Clydesdales came so close to the championship title. They’re not an easy team to beat and looking ahead to next season, they are definitely a team that will be at the top of the standings table.
