Spring 2019 Wednesday Lincoln Park Turf Men’s Int Football – Week 7

No Punt Intended (3-4-1) v. Uber Freight (2-4-1) – Wednesday, May 08, and 2019

The 4th place vs 5th place game is always one of the most exciting matches of the playoff bracket.  With a final score of 18-13, No Punt Intended grabbed this W. The last time these two teams met in week 4, Uber Freight won 21-16. This time around, the result was different. With a final score of 18-13, No Punt Intended have their eyes on the coveted championship shirts.  These guys brought it on defense, beating their season points against average of 17.3 ppg.  QB Peter J Balsam delivered one touchdown, which was caught by Tim Blue and ran in one on his own.  In the loss for Uber Freight, QB Mike Mctygue hit Cory Coleman and Charlie each for one touchdown. This week’s win advances No Punt Intended to semi-finals.  On the bright side for Uber Freight, this loss means they can save their legs and recharge for next season.

 

Clydesdales (6-2) v. Son of A Butcher (0-7) – Wednesday, May 08, and 2019

In this Quarter-Final game, the #2 seed, Clydesdales, took on the #7 seed, Son of A Butcher.   Clydesdales are the highest-scoring team in the league, averaging 22.4 ppg.  Will a blowout victory with a final score of 41-0 Clydesdales won this one with ease.  QB Tim Sharp threw two scores an QB Michael Boles throwing two touchdowns as well, Michael Boles on the receiving end of most of them with two receiving touchdowns and ran in for two as well, while Andrew Meier and Johnny Ricchio Jr, each caught one touchdown. This week’s win advances Clydesdales to semi-finals. Son Of A Butcher is done for the season and we hope to see them return for the start of the new league coming up soon.

 

Checkdowners (1-4-1) v. Dynamos (4-3-1) – Wednesday, May 08, and 2019

In this exciting 1-point Quarter-Final games, Checkdowners, the #6 seed upset the #3 seed, Dynamos. With a final score of 20-19, Checkdowners have their eyes on the prize.  Checkdowners brought it in this one, exceeding their average of 14.80 ppg. QB Dan Knisley delivered three touchdowns, hitting Michael for one of them.  For Dynamos, in the loss, QB Conri Benz hit Casey for two touchdowns and ran in one on his own. The win for Checkdowners means a ticket to semi-finals. Dynamos is done with playoffs, which means it’s time for a team meeting at the bar to regroup for next season!
